Tony Pulis, manager of the promoted Stoke City, he wants to bring to Brittania Stadium the midfielder Stiliyan Petrov (29) of aston Villa. According to Pulis, Petrov is a gambler of experience that would do comfortable to the Potters in the adventure in long-awaited Premier from 1985.
Doesn't mention that we have actually signed him!

Strange one - can't see Villa letting him go, especially since it looks like Barry is going.

Well, I can see it being true that we're interested, but theres about a 0% chance of him coming here. Hope I'm hideously wrong though!

I have heard this t'other day. 1) I don't think its true, especially with Barry going. O'Neill hates to sell players apparently 2) I don't want him, he started well at Villa, but he is no dream player, he is a plodder, and we don't need another plodder, we need a dynamic player. 3) I don't want people getting confused with Martin Petrov ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/0m0lbCuTEBzaRn6f8QaM.gif)

Actually I did see something last week that he was moving, may have said back to Celtic, can't remember where though.

Didn't really make the step up to the Prem, think he likes a slower pace..
Would be happy with him though with regards to getting the ball rolling and others taking note of our ambition...

Can't see it on NewsNow under Stoke...
edit - found it now just under Stoke. You can add + city on the end of your url to get specific club news as opposed to everything with Stoke in it...

'can't see Villa letting him go, especially since it looks like Barry is going' Been linked with a few major signings Rob, would make sense with Barry looking certain to go.

I bet Petrov is on 30-40k a week wages too, probably out of our league.

'I don't want him...........we need a dynamic player'
Absolutely, a player with over 70 International caps, Champions League experience and pretty much a regular in a top half Prem league is in no way good enough for us. I mean, he isn't even at the Euros.

Would be a very good signing. I wouldn't say he was completely out of our reach either. It's a very strange link though coming from Italy and I would be surprised to see it happen. You never know.

I'd take him.
Not in the bum or anything.
I'd play him in the team.
