Of course if it were legalised the criminal underworld would be dismantled overnight and also produce billions in taxes
Prohibition does not work but leads to the rise of criminal gangs - alcohol in USA as an example
Far better to accept reality and legislate accordingly
The drug laws in the UK are ridiculous. UNICEF state that the safest drug to use is LSD and others in its family yet is a class A. Alcohol has been shown to have no 'safe' amount to drink and yet is freely available
Logic does not come into such decisions, rather it's pure moralising

This is like 'Line Of Duty' in real life. And I love the way they've named the Australian criminal who was their unwitting accomplice - He must be shitting a brick at the moment.

Flash backs come to mind, id say it’s far from safe if it’s a trial stage ??

Hows LSD safe, never in a million years. It is used properly and they’re trialling it to treat depression They, the government, will try and brush it under the carpet but the reality is there will be GREAT shame as to how our draconian drug laws have held up medical research to the seemingly endless benefits of cannabis and LSD type drugs. Yet as someone rightly says above I can take 20 quid to the supermarket and buy enough alcohol to kill myself. Utterly ridiculous. No other way of looking at it.

The best bit is they paid a monthly fee to the FBI for using the service 😂😂😂

I watched some of the FBI press conference yesterday and there is going to be so much that is going to come out about how the sting started and how the operation was run, as they would have known about illegal activities going on, and chosen to let some of them happen. Apparently a number of killings were also prevented. I see a film about this coming out in a few years.

Low addiction rate Low risk of cancer Low social problems unlike alcohol, cannabis, cocaine, speed, heroin etc The question is this: why would any government ban it? Seeing as it grows freely in the fields My belief is, and this is backed up by psychologists, that people exposed to hallucinogenics have a greater degree of openness afterwards I e. Become more open to ideas and tolerant of others. So you'd think that would be a good thing right? What could a government gain from keeping its population closed minded, intolerant and unquestioning? Work that out and you'll have your answer as to why it's banned yet shamanic cultures have used it for millennia

Hows LSD safe, never in a million years. It is used properly and they’re trialling it to treat depression BBC programme a few weeks back on bbc2 I think on this very subject. Double blind trial. Group 1 placebo and Escitalopram Group 2 1 dose of LSD followed by 1 session with a psychotherapist. 3 months later this is repeated. So group 1 takes a synthetic SSRI designed to ensure the reuptake of seratonin everyday for 6 months. The results: same level of mood lift 6 months later with 60% in the LSD group reporting they were symptom free compared to 30% in the SSRI group. That's a 50% greater recovery rate The drug companies will kill it because LSD costs buttons That said ketamine is now used as an emergency inhaler licenced to treat severe depression People object on moral grounds and not on scientific ones

Well I REALLY wish they wouldn't because, let's face it, criminals ain't the freshest sarnies at the picnic and if the FBI were instead to let this one die down without spilling any beans in public about how they pulled it off - much less making a film about it - they should presumably be able to repeat the operation in the future. It's like TV documentaries about the police and how they carry out their detective work & solve crimes by checking for DNA, fibres, etc. - The programmes are fascinating to watch, but I do think this sort of inside stuff shouldn't be publicised as it teaches villains exactly what sort of evidence they should be careful not to leave, and so help themselves to avoid being collared.

The FBI have explained how they did it in some detail, the cat is out of the bag and if criminals are happy to continue to use adapted smartphones running anonymous software, then more fools them!
