Sorry lads not the great pop act. I've had this new Garmin for just over 12 months now and in the last 12 months I've done 5,514,836 steps and 5,219.5 kilometres. There'll be a few more when I've had the watch on charge but other than that it's fairly complete data just over 15,000 steps a day. Average heart resting rate 44bpm, average high 131 bpm Fitness age 20

No idea what fitness age makes me as my data is on a FitBit Sense but I’m about as fit as Jim Royle! Rejoining the gym tomorrow after 2 years of piling on the pounds so hopefully see some improvement during the remainder of the year.

I saw Steps in their heyday and they were so dancetastic if I'd had a Garmin then I'd have hit big numbers. A Tragedy I didn't, then. Phew covered all bases there , hopefully

In Steps heyday, and I was a lot younger, Faye Tozer certainly used to do a lot for my Heart Rate.

I've invested in a Fitbit and I'm trying to stick to the 10,000 steps a day, work and weather permitting. I need to after a year of living like Onslow- I used to walk everywhere!

What Garmin did you get? I've been thinking about getting something. I've read some of these devices have poor GPS connection in places but can't imagine that would be the case with Garmin.

If your garmin just makes the odd monotone bleep when in use it'll still be more musical than steps the band.

On track for over 500k this month. Would've been on for well over 750k, but I've been working on depts. a lot this month and you don't do as many steps when on depts.
