Not only disappointed results Michael, but disappointing displays as well!!!
A great deal of work needs to be done in the summer just to get us to a mid-table team nevermind a promotion chasing team, because if we carry on with our current theme, we're gonna be right in the mire again next season!!!
It's a good job we got some early points on board this season albeit it being dog turd to watch!!!

'Fatigued' My thoughts exactly. Don’t know if you’re old enough to remember 71-72 season. 72 competitive games in 4 competitions. Several 1st team players played over 60 games and Jackie Marsh missed just 1 game. And this lot are knackered after 36 games plus a couple of cup games played on pristine pitches not weekly Battle of the Somme re-enactments.

I remember Marsh very well, great player in his day, but with his lack of pace he wouldn't last five minutes these days. I don't know how you've arrived at the total of 36 games, but it's 44 currently, but their season has been condensed into a much shorter time frame, with barely any time between games..

"Kieran Coates is a young energetic full back and wing back. Very competetive, got good legs and energy."
"Eddy Jones is a left full back, left wing back who could possibly play left midfield - technically very good, good physique and stature - stood out more than most in training. He has a real chance."
They sound great Michael, what are they doing on the bench?

'Fatigued' I am not surprised. Given the fact that the last 9 games of last season were played during what should have been the close season - by next week we will have played 54 league games in a year plus a decent run in the Carabao cup. Of course the number of league games is true of most of the Championship clubs - but, as far as I know, none have had as many long term injuries as us.

That praise for Eddy Jones is by far the most enthusiastic I've heard him about any youngster. Interesting!

'Fatigued' Bigger question is how the fuck they think they’ve improved the team in recent windows , most of MoN’s signings have been awful

I feel right now if he was asked to describe Tommy Smith he'd say something like "Yeah, he's a decent player"...

We've had a bit of bad luck and I'm sure those that have played most weeks are possibly a bit fatigued but it's not really different to any other team. He's bomb squaded some non bomb squad candidates who could easily have covered any tiredness. Just makes him look a bit daft.

A possibility that Johnny Eustace may be in charge for them tomorrow

Some player, that one season he had for us playing in midfield was a joy. Top player sadly badly hampered by injury.

We finished fairly low down in the League that season, might I suggest fatigue played it's part in that?

'Fatigued' It's just bewildering, last week it was 'running on empty'. Truth is we have played 17 games in 3 months since January which equates to 5 matches a month or 1 per week. I mean what would happen were we, heaven forbid, to progress in a cup competition? The lads would spontaneously combust!

We won just twice in the League that season after Christmas and I can remember towards the end of the season Waddo admitting that most of his players were running on empty, so you are correct. In those days League rules prevented clubs picking too many reserves. We got in trouble for picking a weakened team against Nottingham Forest the week before the FA Cup semi-final.

Not a surprise, they've not been rotated properly, see Allen, opinion on his ability aside, he was rushed back as soon as they had a chance and he was over used, same with Mikel. He clearly has his favorites (most managers do so whatever) but the second they are able to break into a jog they're in and being run into the ground, it needs looking at.

We are fatigued and yet Barnsley are still haring round the pitch every game for 90 minutes.

One definition of fatigue is "Weakness in something caused by repeated bending."
All that picking the ball up out of our own net has finished them off!

He’d still be quicker than any of our current defence!
