The money in the Premier League seems to just be smoking everything in its path.

Is that suddenly now down to money? Why wasn’t it for all the previous years? Richest league now for many a year.

Happened 2 years ago Spurs lpool Chelsea arsenal. Crumbs, no 'suddenly' about it, happens every other year ! There is only really the 2 Madrids and PSG now even vaguely at the races.

I think it’ll be 3.
Arsenal the main candidates to be the one that doesn’t.
Never write off Zidane and Real. Chelsea should have beat them, have they missed their chance?
And Man City could easily come a cropper against PSG with the attack they have.

Not so sure. 3 ties far from over
I remember QPR blowing a 6-2 lead in Europe. lost 4-0. Not sure if ever been bettered as a comeback. very little between the teams and all capable of away wins or draw in villareal case . Man U we can write off

At the very least I get the feeling the feeling the Top 6 English clubs are a match for the Top 6 in the rest of Europe combined right now. Just the depth I mean.

Sadly there’s not a lot very ‘English’ about the top 6 English clubs other than their current location. If there was I might have a bit more interest .....but there again probably not 😏

Arsenal are absolutely diabolical, they're very lucky to still be in with a shot at the final tbh. Touch and go whether ManC and Chelsea both make it.

Before Heysel, English clubs had dominated the European Cup (Liverpool, Forest and Villa).
And we had an all English Eufa Cup final between Wolves and Spurs.

Last year there wasn't any English clubs in either of the finals. Next year it might be the same.

And ended with th ban. English teams success was largely based on fitness and workrate. During the ban continental clubs increased fitness and workrate and became more tactically astute. In consequence when English clubs returned their major asset had been eliminated.

The money in the Premier League seems to just be smoking everything in its path. So it's the pound vs the spanish euro? Chelsea and Citeh would both be extremely foolish to think along your lines. Madrid has a enviable ability to somehow win when they look beaten, and the mere presence of Ramos will up that spirit by several thousand percent. PSG have beaten better teams than Pep's at away grounds, though that was probably their downfall this week. They thought they were the superior team and so underestimated their opponents. Citeh on the other hand may feel they now have the upperhand and fail to remember that they only really won because of a freak goal and a very poor wall. I'd say it's still very much open in the CL. As for the other I think Roma have done it before, with a similar deficit, and I think Manure are still not so strong that they can't lose. Love the Yellow Submarine, dislike the other, so I'm hoping for another bad night for them.

That’s probably where the all English final confidence comes from.

That’s probably where the all English final confidence comes from. They both had a half of dominance. But a game lasts 90 minutes. PSG's dominance probably only lasted 30 minutes. Real probably didn't dominate as such, but they succeeded in making Chelsea run more backwards - and they got a morale boosting great, great goal from Benzema. I'd be wary of going into the games next week breathing on English confidence. It's often what has brought teams down.

Of course Thomas being Welsh will deny that.

Seems stupid now to hold the final in Turkey, particularly as no fans , or a limited number, may be allowed in.

It would be a wonderful time for the FA to announce that the Impotent Six are banned from representing England in European competitions for twenty years.

Chelsea made it way more difficult than needed. It could have been 8-1 over both legs and been a fair aggregate score.

I had no idea a Champions League was going on or that English clubs were doing well - until I read this thread. Does not seem to be a highlights program anymore on normal TV and can't bring myself to pay to watch tip tappy football and snowflakes rolling about on the floor - why would anybody How have Chelsea managed to make it to the final - they are shite Wish these buy the title clubs would have pissed off into the super league and then we could have had a bit of a reset and maybe got our game back.

Both Man City and Chelsea have been far better than their respective opponents over the two legs. Both deserve to be in the final and much of the football has been a joy to watch.
