Does anyone know the nature of his injury and whether it is actually a cover for being on the manager’s naughty step?

Sounds like the standard stoke winger injury, probably "tripped over his dog on the stairs".

He's not sure whether he's injured his arse or his elbow.

Granted, he does try hard though.

I really hope I never have to watch him in a Stoke shirt again. Another balls up of a signing out on loan next season, we will have more out on loan than at the club at this rate.

Learned a long time ago not to get between these Brit vs. Irish arguments - too much history. I could lose a limb AND get my car blown up!
But ASIDE from all that. He's past it, gave a ton of effort without much skill and now he's hurt. NOW - add to that, he tends to stir up things on social media about every 6 months? Not worth it. Thank you for your services James, but it's time to move on. But let me guess....no takers.
Rooster if it was me, 1/2 your team would be coming up. You might "not be able to win anything with kiddies" but you sure has hell can't even compete with geezers. I've seen enough.

Was excellent last season after MON took over. Not been as good this year, but still a good character in the dressing room and not one of the prima dona footballers that have been our downfall over the last few years. Hope he comes back stronger next year.

Pretty sure it's not a British / Irish thing, there've been plenty of Irish players lionised by their clubs' supporters over here (TC being a case in point at Stoke and would you bet against Nathan Collins being our next club captain?) It's specifically a James McLean thing, isn't it?

And that's alright by me - it's their business.
