Are they delaying KO times to later next Saturday?
Seems a bit daft moving the dates considering how congested the fixtures are anyway

Respect. Nothing more, nothing less. Apologies if I was brought up the right way, but postponing football is the right thing to do.

Madness. If you want to pay your respects to the man then get yourself tuned in, missing one game in the grand scheme of things isn't the end of the world.
And the rest of us can carry on as normal.....

People die every day and they mean as much to their family as as Phillip to his, big deal so he's a royal, I'll respect that and I have huge respect for the queen but as the saying goes life goes on!
When I die football won't stop if I have my funeral on a Saturday afternoon!

To us oldies, his death marks the end of a way of life and in many ways it brings back the memories of my own Dad passing away who was a member of the same generation. Prince Philip was one the last survivors who saw action in WW2. His death reminds us of all those heroes - many of whom we will never know. It is right and appropriate that the whole country respects and marks his passing for the significance of what he has come to represent.

It is the day of rest and worship, my dad was in the army and some of my best friends were so I know the significance of what your saying, but why that day and time? Royal weddings that have just as much exposure don't stop life moving on.

Yeah he only fought in WW2 on top of all the royal stuff as well. He’s done more than any of us will. So did millions of others, it was nothing special for his generation. On the contrary, I would have thought it was indeed a bit special and very courageous and commendable, for a man in his position in society to voluntarily put his life at risk on a battleship.

The kick off time is going to be changed for one game, so what? If we were actually allowed to go then it would be an issue but we aren't so does it really matter? I get some people don't like the Royals and couldn't care less and I've got no problem with that but the majority of us want to pay our respects to a man who has been an important public figure for most if not all our lives so stop fucking whinging.

"The majority" want to pay their respects? Almost everyone I know is sorry for the loss of a 99 year old man who has had an extremely good life but no more than that. The games will be moved and we'll continue to see every news channel and every newspaper dedicated to this no doubt, I personally have absolute no interest in it but for those that do good luck to you.....

When Sir Stan and Gordon sadly passed away, it was only right and proper that our wonderful football club gave them the send off they deserved.
Yes, they too were husbands and fathers and family men.
Should we have denied them a fitting funeral as some have suggested for the Duke of Edinburgh? Should we have said it is a private family affair and everyone else should keep their noses out.
No of course not - thousands wanted to pay their respects and it was right that they could do so as long as their families agreed. In the case of Prince Philip, there are hundreds of millions around the Commonwealth who want to pay their respects. It is only right and proper that they do so with this period of mourning.

Again March I agree but we didn't do it at 3 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon, can you imagine if we'd of gone to the FA and said by the way we will not be playing our game that day as we are all going to a funeral? No one is denying him a anything and he himself said he didn't want any fuss when he did pass on I really don't get why life has to stop.
