Most people under 50 (which is the group where most of the ticket buyers will come from) haven't had jabs yet have they? I certainly haven't

Is 4000 people in a 90000 stadium realistic proposition??? Theres more chance of catching covid walking on dartmoor!!! You can socially distance without being 100 meters away from someone!!

Even 10% would be 9000.. at what point do people want to get back to "normal"??? The 4000 wont even be fans...locals and health workers!!

No atmosphere, no banter with opposing fans, bossed about by stewards...not for me thanks. Welcome to the new normal...it will be like this for a long time...the authorities and Government are shitting themselves.

The irony is that in the last 24 hours, the equivalent of 14 Wembley Stadiums filled to capacity were tested to find around 4,000 positive cases.
Oh well.

Home fans will be the priority at all clubs, maybe with spacing between the seats. As stated the problem is the under 30s won’t have been vaccinated by then and they make up a majority of a football crowd.

People have had the jab...get a grip for fucks sake !!!!!😡😡😡 The problem in many countries, including the UK, is public resistance to a vaccine passport. In Israel they send you a certificate after your second vaccination. It grants access to things like movies, gyms, and yes, football games. By requiring a vaccination certificate, venues can ensure that gatherings won't be super-spreader events. Unvaccinated Israelis are still allowed to go to essential businesses. I don't know how they are handling people who can't get vaccinated for medical reasons and children under 16. I know that there are privacy concerns. Also, in every country other than Israel, not everyone has been offered the vaccine, so it's arguably unfair to people who have not yet been offered the vaccine. But I see a lot of economic and social benefits to not making the entire country wait until herd immunity to open up.

I’d much prefer a slow reintroduction of fans, rather than allowing loads in and it being a super spreading event.

Not bedwetting mate at all...we have to get a grip and move on...the country has already been devastated by the restrictions. The deaths are tragic I agree...but how many were from Covid as opposed to with Covid ?...that’s for another thread.

It is mate, it's titled Bacofoil and all the attic or basement dwellers who know better than all of our experts, and the global experts will light a torch with you and follow you into battle. It's taken a year but we've actually just started to 'get a grip'. Deaths are falling, cases are falling have some trust in the NHS vaccine rollout and look forward to larger crowds at the beginning of next season and hopefully full unrestricted travel at the earliest point after. Patience is the ultimate virtue.

Yeah the experts have done really well so far haven’t they. The vaccine rollout is brilliant without doubt but that’s because the NHS are leading it and it hasn’t been outsourced to Tory friends.

As I mentioned on the fans back into stadia, it isn't the government saying this, it's EUFA as they have the protocol over the matches, we have tickets for the match on the 22cnd of June the day after we go back to normal all things permitting but they are making noises about ballots and reduced capacity.

The deaths are tragic I agree...but how many were from Covid as opposed to with Covid ?...that’s for another thread. I don't know if statistics are available for the UK. But in the United States, the number of total deaths increased by 15% from 2019 to 2020. That was the largest year-to-year increase since 1918. Some of those were sadly probably due to health problems resulting from the lockdown. But there is little to suggest that the reported Covid death toll was sizably inflated by people who died with Covid but from an entirely different cause. In the vast majority of cases, they were people who would not otherwise have died when they did. www.politico.com/news/2021/03/10/cdc-finds-covid-19-drove-15-percent-spike-in-death-rate-475219

We will never know the true figures because in the early days the situation was handled so badly by Boris & Co...the Government really were totally unprepared despite being told a few years earlier to prepare for exactly this sort of event. Every death is tragic but I really can’t see how we carry on like this for much longer. The weather will get better and nights lighter and people will be out and about as normal...pretty much everyone I speak to are at breaking point. We’ve seen in Europe what happens when this happens and I fear if we aren’t given our lives back...especially the young...it’s going to happen here very soon.

Maybe not by the very start of the season but under 30s should have had both jabs by September shouldn’t they? Even if you work on the basis that you need to be vaccinated to get in the ground (which I personally don’t agree with) there should be no reason why they can’t attend after that point. Agree though that there’s probably going to caution about letting away fans in initially.
