Was just watching some of the best volleyd goals of the premier League and matt lowtons of Aston villa against us came on, it got me thinking I can't remember seeing a better one against us in the prem, even the bale one. Hazard and a few other good ones can anyone else think of a better one than lowtons?

Figarolla (not sure how to spell it) for Wigan
Personally I thought Drogba’s for Chelsea, was better than Bale’s, the way he just rolled the man mountain that was Abdoule Faye and then hammered it past Tommy in to the top corner was everything from a striker in one go. Power, strength pace skill and accuracy, and he made it look so easy. Just top class.

Rooney's free kick for the record at the Brit was pretty good.

Gerard's 70th minute consolation because it meant absolutely nothing and royally pissed in his cornflakes. To this day i still think we gave him that goal. I know Muni was holding his hamstring but he wasnt exactly busting a gut to stop steeeeevie. Crouchs header though put the icing on it though with the 6th goal

Whislt it was cracker, Bale’s was better for me.

I'd go with the Figueroa goal for Wigan, because it was so unexpected. Not even a threat on goal until he hit it.
Imagine how many replays that would get if it had been Rooney or Bale.

That’s how you spell it then? Yep. Great goal From a Wigan team whose players names all seemed to end in "a". Isn't Figueroa stood next to Rodellega at the end there?

Not a PL game, but from the PL era,Mehmet Topal's screamer in the home leg of the Europa tie with Valencia, absolutely arrowed into the top corner.....The b*stard.
Figueroa's and Drogba's already mentioned above are great shouts.

Some of the best ones have been mentioned so I'll add another corker to the list.
The 1st half Cristiano Ronaldo free kick against us in our first Prem season at Old Trafford (Yellow Le Coq away shirt!) was if I take my Stoke hat off for a moment, an absolute stunner of a free kick & goal. Was Ronaldo's 100th Man Utd goal (got form for their players hitting notable records v us from free kicks haven't we!). A few blamed Sorrensen for that goal at the time but when you watch it back on the behind the ball camera angle the ball takes a right mean but subtle mid air change of direction before it hit the back of the net making Sorrensen look like he flapped at it! The speed and way Ronaldo arrowed that ball towards the goal there's no way Sorrensen could have done anymore & sometimes in the cold light of day you actually realise that due to Ronaldo's ability to hit a dead ball in such a fashion, Sorro certainly wouldn't of been the first or the last keeper to be totally bamboozled by a Cristiano Free Kick! Ronaldo's 2nd free kick in the same match was a great goal too but not as spectacular, he kind of curled low round Sorro on that occasion!
That game wasn't one of our best away trips to Old Trafford, we got absolutely spanked. Poor Wilko having to face an onfire Ronaldo too! Welbeck came off the bench to score a stunner and his first goal for them that game too that could even compete as one of the more quality strikes versus us. That was the point I knew it was time to head off to the tram station!

I was thinking about the Andy Carroll goal against us in the 1-1 draw against Newcastle. A powerful header from the right hand corner of the penalty box with other players jumping around him. It was actually shown last night on MOTD Top 10 (Worst grounds) and was featured as Alan Shearer was the Newcastle Manager, against Stoke, at the time.
It is a long way from being anywhere near the best goal scored against us but I think that it should be given much more credit than it was. I was quite near at that goalmouth end and was in the upper tier of the Q Railing stand. I can still see the goal as if it happened in slow motion, and prior to the strike you can see Carroll's head go back, as the ball comes to him, so he can get more power on the header. As he jumps he really attacks that ball, and it was a real powerful text book header from 18 yards. We should show it repeatedly to Vokes as a training Video.
