Sunday 5pm
A slightly more tougher fixture but England should still swot them aside before the more difficult test of Poland on Wednesday
I reckon a similar side as he saves the likes of Kane etc for that particular match
Anyway 0-3

Calvert-Lewin and Watkins are not really international level superstars. Would it be wise to see how a partnership between the two would work? If Kane gets injured, do we stick with a weaker front man playing solo versus the bigger teams?

I mean it's something he could do anyway but you've got to be brave/stupid to drop Kane. I'd be tempted though

Albania might not have as strong a team as they did when they were in the Euros '16, but they still have a notoriously difficult team to break down. England will be happy if they come away with a point!

It’ll be awkward, they have some good technical players and would probably beat Scotland. But I’m going 1-3

I'd be tempted though I wouldn’t drop him, unless his form is atrocious...even then it’s a risk. But injuries happen. Rashford is a reasonable call, but would he bury more chances than Calvert-Lewin or Watkins?

Seriously what is the point of matches like this? What does anyone gain from it except a run out for 90 minutes. Gouranga.

Albania have won the WC as many times as England in my lifetime so why shouldn't they have a 'run out' ? A bit like Stoke saying that Rotherham are wasting people's time by playing in the FA Cup

Albania made it to the last Euro finals didn't they? (I have vague memories of them being in my sticker album!)
They're not a good side by any stretch of the imagination, but (on paper) this isn't going to be a complete 'let's play in vests and pants for a laugh' stroll in the park.
2-0 win I reckon.

Certainly did and won a game. Gave the French and Swiss tough games also. Was a great effort. England finished below Wales and lost to Iceland go with 2-0 also

Are you putting Albania in the same category as Andorra San Marino r Gibraltar? We had all this rubbish from Lineker the other night, questioning why minnows are playing in these qualifying tournaments. I'm old enough to remember when the Scandinavian nations were considered a bit of a joke and the African nations weren't taken seriously at all. Zaire's appearance in the 1974 World Cup is still held to ridicule today, but Lineker probably remembers that just 16 years later his team was seven minutes away from being knocked out of the World Cup by an African nation. Every country has the right to play and improve themselves and playing in these games gives their players a shop window to display their talents and perhaps earn a move to one of the top European leagues.

Every country has the right to play and improve themselves and playing in these games gives their players a shop window to display their talents and perhaps earn a move to one of the top European leagues. I too can recall days gone by where it was an achievement to even qualify for an 8 team European Championship, or a 24 team World Cup, but these competitions have now been bloated to such a degree that the bigger nations are now almost certain to qualify. Personally, I think the San Marino’s and Andorra’s should play in their own pre qualification group and whoever tops that then earns the rights to play in the qualifying rounds proper.
