I’m sick of lockdown but it’s just fucking daft isn’t it, what’s the point? Now if the government decides to push the dates back that’s a different story.

Ultimately they’re protesting for a cause that has no substance lead by a man who has no medical knowledge what so ever.
Covid-19 is very real and what do they actually think they’ll achieve. Pointless at this time with the lockdown just round the corner.
I’m pretty sure a lot of them would have been at the protest last weekend.

Typical attitude from them in the capitol, they were in level 2 while the rest of the country were in 3 yet they had more cases in all the boroughs than most of the rest and this lesd to full lock down because they think have more right than anyone else!

I wish COVID could be selective and target certain people if it does have to take anyone.Do these half wits not realise that if their marching leads to more cases it gives an excuse for the government to do more of the very thing they are protesting about.

They aren't going open stuff up because of a protest, no matter what side of the 'freedom march' fence you sit on. So in that respect, it seems a bit of a wasted effort. Although I bet its nice to be around a crowded place, à la football stadium or a gig venue.

Face recognition, and if any of the cunts rock up at hospital with covid...See Ya. It's a fairly young crowd by the looks of it they're probably very little danger to themselves but to the older people they come into contact with.... the police today, on public transport, at home, at the hospitals, at work it's a different story. I think selfish is the word we're looking at here. I'm out running with a nurse tomorrow morning I'll report back on her thoughts.

It has happened here in the US too. Violating quarantine to throw a fit and spreading this disease further achieves the exact opposite - expanded lock-downs.
What little empathy a government may have had before is flushed down the toilet when forced to deploy riot police. The right attacked our capitol to throw a fit over the election. The left are attacking our streets to throw a fit over lock-downs. All these protests have achieved the sum total of f*** all, except for keeping media entertained.
Some of us are wishing they'd all either grow up or move to places like Venezuela where there are plenty of real things to protest.

Although I bet its nice to be around a crowded place, à la football stadium or a gig venue. Nor should they. Everybody hates lockdown, but maintaining it according to plan HAS TO be part of the fantastic success story of the UK vaccination programme rolled out to combat the pandemic. If procedures start getting sloppy the sickness figures will be bound to rise again.

No they haven't. The beeb have done their usual scant coverage and lack of in depth investigation with the sub story "Police attacked with bottles and projectiles". Nothing to see here, move on. Do I get a sense they don't give a shit.

How is it any different to working on a building site? Less scaffolding and fewer cement mixers, other than that identical.

And you just know as sure as eggs are eggs it will be the same people who are moaning about lack of civil liberties regarding marches that will moan at sloppy applications of the law if and when the numbers rocket again.

Still waiting on the faux outrage about it tbf. Pretty sure rent a mob didnt turn up gnarling in the faces of Police Officers, also pretty sure protocols are in place whilst entering a site. But hey...don't let facts get in the way of a good moan. To liken these demos to a building site is frankly absurd.
