Leeds were greatly disliked, and mostly hated during the 70's due to their "robust" ( downright dirty - hence the nickname) tackling, very cynical approach to the game with their frequent professional fouls, yet Peter Lorimer was one of their few players who seemed to be liked by all football fans, and who also seemed to be a likeable person. As has been said his shooting and penalty taking was awesome, once he hit a ball the keeper wasn't usually saving it ! I was lucky enough to see Peter Lorimer and the rest of those Leeds legends numerous times at the Vic, top of the list being our 3-2 comeback win after being 0-2 early on.
R.I.P. to yet another 70's star !

Lorimer scored the scandalously disallowed goal in Paris. The most brutal refereeing skullduggery in a final ever.
