Came off his line, distribution night and day from Gunn, has to be our Number 1 next season. Yes his weakness is crosses but we have always known that. Stick with him now.

He is definatly our best keeper, brilliant signing he is, how he didn't get in ahead of Butland is criminal

I don't think GK is really that much of a pressing issue at the moment but that was hardly the most confident of performances...

No suprise we keep a clean sheet with him on the pitch. One single shaky moment with the long throw. I’ll take that. Gunn would’ve shit himself having to deal with them. The defence look more assured , indeed the whole team do defensively, with him in goal.
Not picking him as soon as he was for again has been arguably the single most costly mistake MON has made this season.

Just one shaky flap near the end off a long throw but other than that looked solid and unlike the last few weeks I didn't get a little brown mark in my undies every time the ball came in the box. Gouranga.

Did what you would expect any keeper to do really. Nice to keep a clean sheet, his clanger at end almost cost us though.

Flapped woefully at 2 throw ins. One nearly led to a goal.
One awful parry.
And did a punch that Gunn would have got slaughtered for.
If Gunn had put that performance in tonight there would have been hell up.

I like him and advocate playing him ahead of Gunn but he struggled under his crossbar tonight. Anything in his six yard box made me do a poo, but I think that would have been the case had Gunn played. They’re a big team who launch things into the box.

Gouranga. He’s fantastic at judging 1 on 1s, time and time again he has saved us in that situation. Gunn would have stood on his line and just stood still, Davies reads them situations so well.

Definitely our best keeper. Looked like a first game back after a long time out performance but I'm confident that given time he'll be the solid keeper we had at the end of last season and the start of this season.

I can't put my finger on why but I feel far more calm when he's in goal instead of Gunn. He was a bit rusty and not the gk he was before injury but definitely the best we've got.

If Gunn had put that performance in tonight there would have been hell up. I don’t think there’s much that separates them to be honest. The key difference is one is our player and the other is not. That alone settles who we should be focusing our energy on. If Gunn was miles ahead then I could understand it but I’m not sure he is. Maybe one day but not for Stoke.

Had a couple of dodgy interceptions on crosses, the first was a foul though and he should have been awarded a free kick the second one is just sloppy. All in all a good game after being out for such a long time.

Been out for quite a long time so if he's being given a run then we need to give him games to get into his flow. Even so, he just looks a more confident goalkeeper than Gunn doesn't he. He was so quick off his line for that Moore chance that it ended up being a non event.

the defence looked more solid with Davies behind them, even though he did flap at a couple, he still looked more composed than Gunn even after been out for a couple of months.

I don't think Gunn is that good, and I'm perfectly happy to continue with Davies, especially as he is our player, but I'm amazed at how much of a negative impact people think he's had on the team. I just don't see it.

He looked well dodgy on the corners, especially the one after the throw-in mess up, he was all over the place for that, looked like he was hiding from the ball, maybe the throw in knocked his confidence. Let's see how he does in the next game.
I'm not fully convinced by any of our keepers but most of the criticism of Gunn is bizarre and irrational.

Little bit of rust maybe, should be our number one anyway an will hopefully get a good run now and establish himself as number one, he deserves it on merit before his injury he really steadied us

He kept a clean sheet, they were dangerous from throw ins and were clever putting players in and around the keeper. Good to see him back without taking his performance apart
