If, as you have said (not sure who said it originally) the policy is to watch a player 25 times before bringing him in, how do you explain the signings of such characters as Wimmer and Vokes, and all the rest of the disasters you’ve brought in over the last few years.

Hi John,
Your jaw looks a bit wobbly and you seem animated.

Such a shame they want to screen the questions beforehand
These should be off the cuff questions and let them answer, otherwise what’s the point,

Rumours are we paid 2m for Jacob Brown. Is this actually correct?

How come nobody has been made accountable for the signing of wimmer, imbula and berahino?

How come nobody has been made accountable for the signing of wimmer, imbula and berahino? The manager who wanted them was made accountable and paid for it with his job.

Sent following questions in.
1) Given the FFP implication currently in place and given COVID, what position to the club find itself going in the Summer transfer window? Are we reliant on selling assets in order to generate funds or given the fee paid for Brown last summer does this suggest there is money available currently?
2) Since appointed, what role, if any, has Alex Alridge played in the recruitment of any players bought to the club?

I remember seeing Marvin Hagler at Stoke and some utter half wit started asking about the Hearns fights being fixed. Problem with open mic questions.

In addition to the playing staff can you clarify
How has and will the impact of COVID on the clubs finances effect the non playing side of the club , what savings if any , will need to be made to stadium / training ground maintenance / improvement and non playing staff .. if impacted how long do you see that lasting , short term , medium term .. or requiring many years behind the seasons of tightened belts on all but team expenditure .. and is their return to health beholding on the league we play in ..or funded separately
The reasoning for that question is support services and expenditure are some of the measures of how healthily the club is operating or able to operate
And
what plans are being formulated for preseason .. is it expected the club will seek to go abroad ( including Ireland ) during pre season ..if so will these allow public attendance , if solely a domestic preseason will they BCD or public games and held away from home

We need to be challenging them on this kind of thing www.theguardian.com/football/2021/mar/12/low-cost-high-pressing-how-barnsley-took-the-championship-by-stormBarnsley, above us in the table , with a fraction of the budget. Last week Daryl Dike, a free loan signing from Orlando, scored a 20 yard screamer for them, whilst Jacob Brown (2m signing from them) was subbed at half time and Sam Vokes (7m) sat on the fucking bench again. John, Mr Scholes why is this happening? Why can’t our transfer strategy be bigger than the manager? Have we learnt anything?
