If Collins is fully fit after a full pre season, he and Souttar have to start the season as first choice CB's. None of Collins at right back, have the balls to play them together. If so, no need for Chester, either or Baath to both stay. Forrester can add to the CB pool?. Thought Collins was good at right back myself

I think Smith has done well after being reinstalled to the first 11! To me he seems to be our best crosser of the ball as well! To be fair, Smith does seem to have sorted some of his problems out since the early part of his time at the club. When Collins picked up his injury I feared the worst but, although there have been clear and obvious problems since Christmas, Smith doesn't seem to have been the worst of them. As you say his crossing does seem to be better than anything else from a right footer at the club - maybe Brown is best used in providing the short passes and the space for Smith to put his crosses in. Brown is unable to provide those short passes I'm afraid!

In recent games it was his failure to look at where his team mates were which made his crosses into the area so ineffective.

I agree with the Souttar/Collins pairing, but one of them needs to be able to adapt to the left centre back position which isnt always easy

If you take a close look at his short passing the three last games you will be shocked by the number of times he mishit them! I'm really baffled during every game how it's possible to be so inept on the ball. The boy deserves to succeed as he really has a heart for it, but I struggle to see that coming true to be honest.

Two top lads, along with Campbell and Bursik.

If they both play, we need a real gobby goalkeeper who will organise and talk throughout the game. An experienced decent fullback might help as well. Shame Collins got injured because the rest of this season would have been the perfect opportunity to play them together and get the experience.

Keep as cover but doubt they’d go for it.
