Just watch out for those geese. They work as a team, a couple approach you from the front in the hope of you dropping your guard because 'comical geese', but then the rest of the gaggle sneak up behind you.

Agreed. Burslem Park is as good as anything that costs £7 with the National Trust. A splendid collection of Lutyens-esque Edwardian architectural pavillions too.

It’s great, as is Burslem.
I hope Tunstall Park is next for some investment, another great old park in need of some TLC.

They’re doing quite a lot to Tunstall park atm, was speaking to one of the workers the other day whilst out with the dog.. apparently they’d refurbed and painted the bandstand and within a week it had been vandalised🤬The boat house is looking great as well👍🏻

They need reported to Interpol. Here at one of our local parks, they pull the same thing! It's an international, organized ring I tell you!

Didn't know was a Hanley park to be honest , would ask where it is but some wise bowsie would no doubt say Hanley so will Google. It’s actually in Shelton. I grew up in Shelton and Hanley Park was where most weekends, nights after school and Summer holidays were spent playing nogger until we got kicked out at night. We had to climb the gates several times after ignoring closing times. Happy days!

Don't know Hanley very well at all to be honest, rarely been , must be 15 years plus now and seemed to do several circuits around the one way system when I did. Footie in the park in the Summer, loved it.

They've done an amazing amount of tidying up over the years. Last year I met a mate on the Tesco site, I'd never parked there before, and we went up to North in Piccadilly it was a more than pleasant environment. On a similar vein I had a meeting with BJR post lockdown last year and parked just South of the ring road by the new development. I had to go into Hanley afterwards and walked through the development for the first time again a more than pleasant environment.

I don't tend to go to Hanley or Burslem, Soop, and although Newcastle is a whole different kettle of fish --- and I realise very small-scale, relatively speaking --- I always think the floral planting displays in the public gardens in & around Newcastle are absolutely stunning.

I really don't know why they have this mentality of wanting to ruin everything for themselves and for everyone else. What do they get out of it?

Get thesen up Hanley Park duck. Park on the top car park by the mosque and wind your way down. Don't forget to enjoy the cut either way towards Stoke or Etruria. We're also blessed with our canals.

Hmmm. Yes, I like the sound of that. Can I take Fido, my large, ferocious German Shepherd, in there, Fel? Also, do you ever go on any of your runs through there, as it would be ideal to combine the two visits. And when Fido accidentally slips his leash and 'follows you closely' you will be mistaken if you think you can hear me shouting 'gooooaaarrrn Fide' as what I will actually be saying to him will be 'oh, gollygosh, puppy, you are a little rascal, please let go of the nice gentleman's leg and come back over here at once.' Love your suggestion. xxx
