Smith, wouldn't look out of place in a decent Scottish league one side...
Batth, league one standard now...
Chester, past his sell by date in the top two divisions...
Mikel, (see Chester)...
Allen, runs hot & cold...
Clucas, (see Allen)...
Thompson, I'm undecided about this lad, I can't figure out if he's already peaked, or if we can get more out of him???
Fletcher, same as Mikel really, but at least Mikel doesn't hand in a note from his mum week after week saying "could you please excuse John from football this week because....."
Brown and Vokes, least said about these pair the better.... League Two at best!!!

Agree with all that apart from.brown. he showed first half that he offers us something and will always chase things down, he has one thing that defenders hate, pace. We should be signing players who have pace and play a high paced pressing game much like brentford. Brown would be a good impact sub or 3rd striker option, hes still young so still offers us something

I look at our squad and it would seem somebody has just dropped Fleetwood's into the Stoke dressing room. It's just a load of nobodies. The bench is worse and couldn't change a game if they were armed with AK47s. Sadly it's the players not plying their trade currently for Stoke that's the main issue here.

We went to the best team in the league imo and were better than them for a half and lost by a goal and one that was a worldie at that.
We have a good side.

Injuries have turned us from a decent Championship side into nothing more than an average to poor Championship side . We lack any attacking quality whatsoever - if Nick Powell is the stand out player it says something. In general the standard of player that now represents the club in comparison to only a few years ago is very mediocre.

Disappointed yes but there’s nothing to go mental over.

From the team we had available at the beginning to the one mow, injuries have really messed things, Now we’re destined to be making up the numbers for the rest of the season, MON needs to give the younger players more game time and plan for next season. Hopefully there’s another gem to be unearthed, rather than sticking with the likes of Mikels, Batths and Chesters, who won’t offer anything in the future.
Such a shame were committed to playing Gunn for the next year and a bit. We’d be benefiting far more from Davies and Bursik battling each other for the No.1 spot.

MON needs a way of playing that the whole club can get behind and sign players specifically for that system. We need that identity again and preferably one that will get the crowd going once we are allowed back in!

I haven't seen much of Stoke City FC this season, apart from the extended video highlights. But it seems to me M'ON believes we were the best team vs Brentford yesterday. Was he wrong about that?
I don't know how to act in that Tipping Competition.

I don't know how to act in that Tipping Competition. I didn't get that gist at all, and no, we were not the better side. They set up positively, we set up negatively. First half seemed a tactical masterclass, but the Brentford commentators drew the correct conclusion, just goes long could we keep it up? Given our record, and given how shit baby players fitness and stamina are, it was inevitable and Brentford battered us second half. There was only one probable outcome, probable meaning most likely, over 60%. He clearly set out to be EVEN more negative second half and the players were once again not motivated, which is weird. . We were shit again let's be honest, first half seemed to be to plan but second half the receiver ineptness, the players lack of fitness, lack of ability, and rigidness if management really shone through. It was so so bad.

O'Neill puts young players on the bench, but has no intention of bringing them on,then low and be hold he brings Vokes on,who we all know brings nothing to the team, you don't have to be big and strong to score goals, you have the knack of being in the right place at the right time, and can hit the target more often than not,who knows we might have another potential Michael Owen sitting on the bench,he was playing for England at eighteen for god's sake !!!!

Would any of our players get into Norwich or Brentfords side?
I think not, yet compare what we have spent to what Brentford have spent over the past 5 seasons.

Bursik, Collins, Souttar, Campbell, Davies & Clarke have all something in common
But so do, Chester, Batth, Mikel, Allen, McClean & Vokes

Brentford have a very good model Well I would hope someone snuck into the Brentford management offices and nicked a copy yesterday For models see Brentfords ‘Airfix 1:12 scale’....... pieces clearly marked and know what goes where Stokes ? Some old papers and a bit of flour and water !!!!!

MON needs a way of playing that the whole club can get behind and sign players specifically for that system. We need that identity again and preferably one that will get the crowd going once we are allowed back in! Don’t see how that can happen. A large proportion of our fans revel in dour, organised, negative, defence dominated football whereas another significant proportion want to watch football with a degree of entertainment value. I’ve no idea which sector is the bigger or where the majority lies but I can hardly see myself becoming enthused by the crap we are producing whatever results it throws up. No doubt I’ll turn up out of some sort of strange mosochism but we haven’t produced any enjoyable football since about 18 months before Hughes was sacked.

I don'know why some on here perpetrating this myth that we have a very strong squad. Opposition managers and pundits do it as a kind of motivation for their own side, l get that. But really, they are falling into the trap of confusing BIG NAMES with good players.
Ryan,Jack and Joe are amongst our biggest names. Two of these have been shot for the past two or three seasons and the third has just come back from just about the worst injury a player can suffer.
Ince, Vokes

Bugger, posted by error !!!
And Clucas are undoubtedly big names but aren't really that good are they? Then there's the bomb squad, who clearly no-one else wants.
So when our own posters claim what a strong squad we have, who do they have in mind beyond Powell and the youngsters Souttar, Collins and Campbell, two of whom are injured?
