As it’s getting a bit crowded for 5th and 6th, I reckon it should take us a good run of 8 to 10 solid results to get into the playoffs, maybe 6 wins and roughly an average of 2pts per game. If we can get to 40 games with around 63 - 65 points then we’ll be up there.
Really does mean winning 2 of the next 3.

Would be an absolute miracle from 3 games 😂

We’re certainly playing Brentford at a good time.
Three defeats on the bounce for them, Toney out injured for a couple of weeks and Henry pulling his hamstring yesterday.

If we can win our homes and draw our aways (maybe not literally, but 2 points per match) we will get into the play-offs. 5 points is as much as we can expect, 4 would not be a failure.
Do we want to win the play- offs? Of course we do. We have loads of young players developing and the cheque book can come out for quality players like strikers, MF, RB, etc to create a team that could survive its first couple of years in the Prem.

We need a good run of wins, 4, 5 or 6 on the bounce.
We've had several chances to win 3 on the bounce this season and failed each time.
Viila were in a worse position than us when they went up. They went on an unbelievable run where they won a fair chunk of their last 15 games.

Are we really a strong enough unit to go to Barnsley and Brentford and get anything? I just don’t see it.

Not sure Allen & Thompson will be a strong enough unit in those games?.

Are we really a strong enough unit to go to Barnsley and Brentford and get anything? I just don’t see it. Brentford have lost 3 in a row, there’s no better time to play them. Barnsley are punching above their weight. Anyone one can beat anyone. We can just as easily win both as lose both.

Rico Henry a huge loss for Brentford. We're well capable of beating them, again

Are we really a strong enough unit to go to Barnsley and Brentford and get anything? I just don’t see it. Given that Brentford have lost 3 on the trot, we should certainly go there with plenty of confidence. Of course there is the famous Stoke City "charity" factor - but even allowing for that we should be confident that getting a good result is perfectly possible. Confidence is a big thing in football - a lot of our 10 game run without a win was down to a lack of confidence as well as injuries. If you lack confidence then game management becomes harder. At present our momentum and confidence should be on the up and Brentford's on the other hand, is possibly at a low point. No guarantees, of course, but I bet Brentford fans are not thinking it will be an easy win for them.

Not a good time to be playing Barnsley, they are a form team under the new manager.

No, we’ve left it too late. Squandered too many winnable games. Next season perhaps.

No, we’ve left it too late. Squandered too many winnable games. Next season perhaps. Plenty of games left and more than enough pin to still up for grabs to claim a play-off place. I’m not convinced we have enough quality to get there this season, but there’s plenty still to play for.

Beat Barnsley on Wednesday and I'll start to believe. The kind of tough away game we'll need to win if we're going to put together the type of run that's needed.

Are we really a strong enough unit to go to Barnsley and Brentford and get anything? I just don’t see it. Really? We aren't strong enough to go to Barnsley and Brentford and get anything? That's a really frustrating mentality. And no wonder you've been MON's biggest fan over the past two months.

Who knows we’re just to unpredictable just like the division. We’re back on track though which is good. My biggest concern is Gunn. Against a big team I can see him being targeted. I think Bursik and Davies fill me with more confidence.

I’d love to see us get a couple of results, but they are two very tough games and I just don’t particularly fancy our chances. As for my “mentality”’, try not to be too frustrated with it flower, it’s just internet tittle tattle at the end of the day. It’s highly unlikely to affect what happens on the pitch.

You said we aren't a strong enough outfit to go to Barnsley and Brentford and get anything. Obviously they're hard games. Barnsley are on a decent run and Brentford have an a good team. I'd completely disagree with the idea we aren't good enough to get a result though. It's a weak mentality. Barnsley ffs.

Need to win 9 of remaining 15 games? Conna see it. we've fucked up by drawing so many against shit teams since Campbell got injured! Would have pissed it otherwise. Lets hope our luck with key players staying fit is better next season!

I think Bursik and Davies fill me with more confidence. As much as I hate to be negative I kind of agree. Davies seems to be a better choice at the moment. However, Mon stuck with James Chester when he first came in even tho he wasn't very convincing, and Chester got better and better as his confidence returned. I suspect Mon believes there is an England international there waiting to be re_discovered
