MON got away with that one. Beyond awful. His players had enough chances to put the game to bed, not sure what he got away with? The performance? It was beyond awful. Thankfully Sheff Wed were equally as bad.

Bit of balance needed with some of the comment here I think. We battered these in the second half, could've been a few goals up and they created nothing all game. Brown makes me want to scream.

When you are on the run we are on, you just have to win. How is irrelevant. Hopefully that will restore a bit of confidence and we'll move forward from here. Some positives, some negatives.

A win is a win, was never going to be easy, they are in decent form, strange why they were so lacking in ambition.

Result is great, but how anyone can defend that steaming pile of shit yet again is beyond me. Absolutely abysmal football, there has to be change somewhere at this club.

I hope that gives us the little kick start we need, it wasn’t pretty so to grind a win out of it is satisfying.

Same mistake week in week out for me, front three are not good enough. If McLean and Jacob fuckin Brown are in your front three were buggered. A wins a win but that was as bad as anything we’ve seen.

Second half they didn’t have an attempt on or off target. I’m not suggesting for one second we were wonderful, but to say we controlled the second half would be a massive understatement...

Brown has the touch of a rapist but he set up three clear cut chances and missed one himself. We just need to get to the end of the season. It is so boring at the moment and you can't see it changing. Maybe now is the time to try some of the under 23s. We were a bit more workmanlike tonight but very wasteful with the final ball.

Better second half.
Think we just about deserved to win, but we were largely dreadful. Luckily, they were significantly worse.
All we can hope for is a confidence boost as you could see we were devoid of any, which is always the biggest factor.
Onwards to Saturday and hopefully kicking Nath's arse

No it hasn't, but it was a good chance. Lets not forget they're also playing different positions, Brown has clearly been told to play further forward. My little lad is learning tally charts at school so I asked him to do one for Clarke whilst on the pitch. 8 touches, 5 sideways passes, 1 backwards, 1 forward and 1 tame header. All passes were successful so he had a 100% success rate. Brown MOM for me. Always available and occupied the whole of their left side and excellent work when we didn’t have the ball.

I question wether most of the people on here support Stoke, all they do is moan post after post, it’s pathetic

Don’t think Brown is even league 1 standard Thought he was probably MOM. Created 3 or 4 good chances, occupied their left centre back and stopped Reach going forward. Worked very hard out of possession, imagine the manager is very pleased with him

Come off it mate. He's crap and should have been subbed after the 2nd minute.

I know we are a bit crap but we deserved to win that, it gave me solace that they were absolutely dog shit with less quality than us!
Had enough chances to win, plenty of good crosses 2nd half (unlike the first), shots on goal, just a mix of crap control or poor first touches (and some blocks) stopping the goal - had resigned to 0-0 tbh!
Should have gone on to score 2 or 3 - Fletcher should have scored, Clark should have, Brown (who improved 2nd half) still beats a man then falls over the ball or bizarrely stops and gets into trouble - even when Powell sent him through on goal he managed to fall over
McClean looks devoid of any confidence altogether, I know he is limited but literally nothing is coming off for him since October! He has even stopped running so much, needs a break, esp with all the other stuff going on
Powell is the only one who can control a football!
Thompson was decent, Allen is still running round in the wrong position, Smith did OK in defence but cant cross a road, Batth and the imperious Souttar were good (bar the odd Batth rick), Fox was having another stinker when injured, but I thought Tymon looked decent when on
Unsure on Gunn tbh, wasnt really tested, got caught in no mans land once and lucky.
