Well spend 6 pages discussing this, and he'll do something different to what 99% of people have suggested.
Let him get on with it, he obviously knows best 👀

Do we think any of the midfield 3 are under threat. I would certainly have Thompson in for Clucas, thought he was unlucky to be dropped. Wonder if Coates at right back will get promoted from the under 23's if Collins is out for a while. None of them should start the next game.

I don’t know if Norrington Davies is eligible to play but I would play him against weaker sides, we need that attacking impetus. Fox made a mistake and generally had a crap game last time out but haven’t they all. Shouldn’t really single him out for criticism, he’s pretty solid usually especially against the top 6 sides(Norwich apart)

To be fair to Fox he had no out ball for the 2nd goal and for much of the game he was exposed as Powell went walkabouts. It's all well and good playing Powell on the left, but you've got to accept it will leave the left back exposed at times.

It's all well and good playing Powell on the left, but you've got to accept it will leave the left back exposed at times. Why do our left and right backs need so much support? I don't remember Lawrence or Etherington having to cover up for Dicko or Wilko at right or left back all that often. Surely with our fullbacks being shit going forwards anyway we shouldn't have to worry? Fox really isn't very good. Average at best. I don't get what people are seeing here, not in a 4-3-3. 4-4-2 he could be fine sitting, but I remember Wilko getting forward occasionally, or at least giving a decent pass now and again.

Any of the 3
Smith Souttar Chester Fox (Simply because Nozzer is out)
Cousins Thompson
Clarke Powell McClean (Because there’s nobody else)
Fletcher
I’d have Coates, one of the young midfielders and then one from Varian and Norton on the bench.
Allen and Clucas would be dropped from the squad completely.

Gunn has done nothing wrong. Bet your bottom dollar Macca will be back, just for his tracking back. Personally I would leave him benched.
I would go;
Gunn
Smith Souttar Chester Fox
Thompson Cousins Allen
Powell Fletcher Clarke

No idea what to expect from your lot on Tuesday. I see your form has fallen off a cliff recently, while ours has rocketed. Having been a Wednesday fan for 40 years I can reassure you this normally means we get trounced!
We are transformed. Under Monk we were very poor and under your mate TP we stank. No idea why. I was delighted we got him but it was a car-crash.
We play 352 with three strong CBs. We’ve the excellent Kieran Westwood back in goal, and he makes us far more assured.
Our WBs are the pacy Kadeem Harris right and the left-foot wand of Adam Reach on the left. Monk and Pulis preferred them cutting in off their weak foot and it was just awful. No surprise that so many of our goals are now being set up from good early crosses.
In CM we’ve found a very good trio: Bannan and the 20 year old full of running Liam Shaw, in front of the aggressive athletic Sam Hutchinson.
Up front our impressive caretaker boss (U23s) has dusted the cobwebs off Jordan Rhodes, who Monk disliked and Pulis hated, and touch-wood he is looking back to his free-scoring best, but it’s early days. His partner is ex-Cardiff Callum Paterson, who looks like a pub player but is really effective and a fan favourite.
Pretty much to a man we hope Fletcher gets a nasty 24 hour bug and sits out tomorrow. We were a shadow of a team when he was out, so we’d much prefer to take you on without him please.
We’ve won 6 out of 9 with only 2 losses, both away, and we were awful.
Best of luck from 17th Feb to the season-end, but hope you have a mare tomorrow.

He said in his interview on the official site that there would be changed, irrespective of rotation, said there had been some poor performances.. In that case selection on Tuesday could be interesting and a chance for some players to stake a claim in the starting 11. I thought Fox was terrible on Saturday (but will probably retain his place with RND still out), Allen and Clucas were anonymous, Fletcher not nearly clinical enough in front of goal and Matondo looked lost. Other than Fox the defence looked ok. I think it might be: Gunn Smith Souttar Chester Fox Cousins Mikel Thompson Brown Powell Clarke

MON’s team (Can we get the 0-0?!) Gunn Smith Souttar Chester Fox Mikel Clucas Allen Clarke Powell Fletcher Like that team but see no reason to drop Gunn but Davies our best keeper by far for me. Need to giveAllen a break as been out so long and doesn't happen overnight so can see him instead of Cousins
