Because a new manager would want his own players and that’s not what we need right now in my opinion He’s regressed from last season. The excuses about ffp etc are totally negated by last season. He changed our approach for absolutely no reason.

Just playing devils advocate. You can’t completely rule out that a change of manager wouldn’t improve things. Fail to win any of the two home games coming up and he’s surely got to be feeling the pressure. Absolutely he’ll be feeling the pressure and after a run like this it’s understandable but for me he needs next season and then judge the outcome Are you Jon Coates in disguise End of next season you have got to be joking. End of this season at worst Xmas or that will be even more time for another manager to turn this around. It’s decisions like this that have put us where we are today. We need to be more ruthless not quite like Watford but somewhere in the middle ground

Our eggs are in the MON basket now and for that reason alone we need to give him time

So, if it’s only bad enough for a few week break from the team, it may be better for him in the long run. He was getting forced into right back, but if Smith does well in his absence, he should come back to contend for centre back (hopefully).
Really hope it’s just a minor injury for the lad, he has a great career ahead of him.

Not happy at all with the result no but changing the manager again will make the situation even worse Cardiff fans would disagree with you. Totally different scenario, and ask them in 12 months.

He'd been poor in the holocaust season but probably benefited from playing at that level. Same as Bould benefited.

Because a new manager would want his own players and that’s not what we need right now in my opinion A decent manager wouldn't want many of our players including the ones MON has signed, a manager should be able to work with the "tools" at his disposal, not many jobs where a new manager gets to bring in a whole new team is there it's called managerial skills at the moment MON does not appear to have those skills sadly. You are making the case for MON. He did way better with players Rowett and Jones had struggled with as well as starting to sort their mistakes. He has spent almost nothing. Not sure there is any evidence a new manager would do better with this set of players while clearing out the rubbish and having no money to spend - in fact less money as we would have to pay off MON

Unfortunately those same players MON got playing last season are over the hill this season apart from Powell. The players MON got for nothing are worth exactly that.

Mostly although, £2 million for Brown isn't nothing in Championship terms, however unfortunately after a potentially promising start his contribution is starting to amount to nothing, pretty much.

Thought it myself but when you look at it, we want the lad back as quick as possible and hope his injury doesn’t affect his ability (which I doubt it will). As soon as he is back up and running again they will come sniffing. We just need to keep hold of him (fit or unfit), for as long as possible and get the best possible figure we can for him.

He won't. Nothing I see suggests it. If he's a CB why isn't he playing there? Because MON doesn't want to use Smith and he hasn't brought anyone in. And you want him to pay out of his own pocket? Another stick.
