Microwaved, grilled or oven cooked?
Might be controversial but I oven cook mine. Fill, roll, lay all 6 on a baking tray and oven bake for about 6 minutes.

Dry frying pan for 1 minute, “dress” with cooked bacon and cheese, roll or fold depending on quantity of filling

Just had 2 microwaved with yellow cheese, just about edible but CBA waiting to grill them, it’s a two hour round trip fetching a dozen or so and family can’t bring for us due to lockdown so relying on the really thick ones from the COOP

For cheese (with or without bacon):-
Grill top side carefully so not crisp Flip..add cheese. Grill.... Spread cheese with knife Grill again until perfect Roll Serve with HP sauce.
Eat two...
For dessert:-
Heat under grill...ensure not crisp Have butter ready...spread butter Add Tate and lyles golden syrup Fold into a quarter segment Eat immediately....the window to eat before going cold is 20-30 seconds.....the plate is often only used to collect dripping syrup and butter

Last night I had just 1 cheese in the microwave cause I was peckish, thing is I had no cheddar left so I used brie. Wow, what a revelation.
I usually grill em to a light crisp.

Grilled, only microwaved if they've cooled and are being warmed up later. My grandparents owned a grocers up in Basford and they had a proper gas fired flatop in the back for doing oatcakes on, used to love getting them straight off of that thing.

Grilled, one side only to stop them going crispy I like mine a bit crispy but the Mrs like it soft (oatcakes). And the Mrs makes ace home made oatcakes loosely based on the Hairy Bikers recipe but using 50/50 water/milk instead of all water and medium oatmeal not fine because fine is like rocking horse shit down here.

I think that a new “team” has taken over the business They used to delivery oatcakes in air vac style packs of 6 ready for the freezer Now they are just in a polythene bag, not as good for the freezer but ok The more you buy, the better value, they are freshly delivered by overnight courier I have tried a couple of delivery services and found these to be the best- maybe because this was my local shop when I lived in Stoke

It really isn’t hard to make your own mix. Much better value than buying the ready mixes. Make a batch and freeze.
