Not a massive fan of pizzas whatsoever, plus they should come with a warning as they either burn your lips or you end up with dangling pieces of skin on the roof of your mouth from a burn/blister.
Must say pizzas are my least favourite food, unless I’ve had a few beers and it’s a 2 minute Chicago Town job in the microwave, again health warning required

Rudys has just opened over the road from me in Sale. 3 hr wait for a takeaway last Saturday!!! I use the one in Ancoats, they're bang on. Places like Rudy's must be making a killing during lockdown in areas like yours........ Just opened, plus a lot of competition. Think they're doing well though.

Rarely buy a pizza, usually make them from scratch. If you can't be arsed making the dough Morrisons sell large naan breads, 2 or 3 to a pack, just use them. It works. We went to Chicago a couple of years ago and managed to try the real, deep pan thing. Jesus fucking Christ they're amazing. We strolled around to Lou Malnati's from our hotel and thought we'd just walk in get a table and be away. 45 minute wait, just to get seated! Queues outside, spoke volumes about the place and it wasn't expensive be any stretch. We replicated it since we got back using this recipe: www.delscookingtwist.com/chicago-style-deep-dish-pizza/#tasty-recipes-22629It works a treat. My advice leave thd juice from the tomatoes in and just reduce them down. Works even better if you do that part the day before. Use Cumberland sausage for the filling. I defy you not to eat it all at once. This is definitely the show for any self proclaimed pizza aficionados: video.vice.com/en_uk/show/pizza-showAs an aside, I paid £350 a few years ago for mar lady to do a patisserie and baking course on a Monday night at college for 9 months. Same price as my season ticket but it got me more quality time than watching Stoke for 90 minutes every couple of weeks ever did. Plus I got to eat what was made every week. To be fair it was a cracking investment.

Love a good pizza. Quite lucky there’s a couple of decent options in Stone. 800 degrees is very good and a firm favourite in the Fandango household. Piccolos pizza is also pretty good although had a couple of dodgy ones in the recent weeks.
Great thing about pizza is you can pretty get anything on one so therefore you can please most people with it. After many years of piss around with different combos I’m of the firm opinion that sometimes less is more in terms of ingredients and there’s a lot to be said for a good simple margherita.
Away from the takeaway options the missus always does well with a basic supermarket margherita then sticking a few extras on at home like mushrooms and pesto (shes veggie)

Fabulous pizzas, nice thin crusts, and some very different toppings! Best pizzas around Stoke I think.

Create your own Pizza on the deli at Morrisons for £2.99 is a game changer. Not had a Dominoes since, overpriced and not as nice/filling.

I always make my own pizza. Here's a thin crust Italian sausage and basil pie. I make the dough from scratch -- took me a few years to perfect it though. High heat and a pizza stone are the key, but I'm stuck with a max 550 degrees (F) in my oven -- would like 650, but that ain't happening. I've also started doing Detroit Style pizza which also quite good. Attachment Deleted

Nicest around stoke/staffs for me. I lived in Wilmslow for a few years and they have a 900 degrees which was great until a place called Wood Fire Smoke opened up down the road and blew it out of the water, best pizza Iv had. Can’t stand Pizza Hut, dominoes etc. Don’t mind some of the sides though!

If pushed I think I would have to say pizza is my favourite food.
A couple of notes/observations:
- pizza is like sex - even when it’s bad, it’s pretty fucking good.
- for some reason - and I’m really not normally a gluttonous bastard - I can just eat pizza indefinitely. I’ll cram down a slice in three bites and I can demolish a family pizza in one go absolutely no bother. And still be tempted by another slice, even though it’s doughy as fuck or whatever. It’s quite strange.
- regarding toppings, as a general rule, less is more. They are a flavouring, a garnish, a seasoning. Not the main event. The meal is the bread and tomato and cheese with a bit of basil or oregano. Some kind of chilli is fine, olives fine, extra cheese fine. One of onions/capers/anchovies is admissible at a push but beyond that you’re ruining it. Sweetcorn, pepper, sliced tomato, ham, aubergine, palm hearts, egg, meat, pineapple, seafood, caramelised fucking pear, walnuts, any of that shit can fuck right off. It’s a pizza not a Waldorf salad.
And now for my happiest pizza-eating memory (crowded field):
A mate and I went backpacking round Italy in about 2003. We were hosteling and generally living cheaply but one night in Naples we decided to treat ourselves to a nice meal in a decent restaurant. It was fine, but after a carafe of wine each we came out and both said, almost simultaneously, “I’m still hungry”. So we went down to the front and found a little hole-in-the-wall pizza joint. They had ready-made sliced-up pizzas in the glass display and we each ordered a slice, thinking that will just do to fill us up. We started chatting and after about fifteen minutes we wondered what was taking them so long to serve up a couple of slices of pizza.. of course it transpired that the item we’d primitively jutted a finger at on the menu board displayed the price not for one modest slice (which we’d thought was ok!), but for a full-size family pizza - two of which they duly emerged with in boxes.
Needless to say we ambled down to sit at the sea front, half-cut, the waves lapping gently against the harbour wall, to polish off a full pizza each, washed down with a couple of bottles of peroni, immediately after our full restaurant dinner 🙂 bliss.

Not sure if this great Italian staple has its own thread so I thought I would give it a slice of the action (ill get my coat) Who is a fan? I've made my own before they were ok ish. I'm not a massive fan of supermarket pizza. I used a company recently who were called Wildfire Pizza. They have vans set up one comes to Alsager on a wed 5-9pm. They are the best. Just taste so nice because they are done in the proper fire ovens. Which takeaway pizza does everyone prefer. For me Papa Johns beats Dominos (have to get a deal or they are expensive) or Kebab Shop pizza. Don't rate Pizza Hut I'm the weird one as well that likes Anchovies on pizza. Discuss I don’t like pizza...most boring food ever...my family love it but it’s not for me thanks.

Italy has loads of little takeaways where they have like 20 types of rectangle pizzas and you go in and say how much you want by weight, then they cut any combo you want.
Never seen one at home, and that sucks.
