I watch Stoke City not knowing if they will win lose or draw Bayern as that’s what it’s all about I have even applauded us off in defeat and I can take the occasional poor match What I can’t handle is week in week out creating absolutely nothing of note with only a handful of efforts at goal in the 90 minutes of which many are trickled shots into the waiting keepers arms or sail harmlessly wide In Michael O’Neill I do very must trust in though I think most of us do but this whole you can’t say a bad word about him thing is most odd. Yes there must be a right to criticise but some of the remarks on hear are quite ridiculous We have to be concerned at the amount of chances we are creating but today we have played the in form team of the division and pretty much stopped them from having any chances and I think for a change we actually had the midfield.. The offside goal was unlucky but perhaps a correct decision and maybe we need for something like that to go for us to change everything. The midfield does seem to be picking up some form, the back four and keeper are doing ok and maybe if we can get Powell fit with Fletcher and Clarke things will improve assuming we can keep them fit.

It's when every word you say about him is a bad word that it reveals your true colours. I've been reading your guff on here for years and it's the same old piss whoever is the manager. 'The manager's a coward, the manager's a prick, the manager's this, the manager's that, I know better than he does, I'm an expert, blah blah fucking blah.'

Spot on apart from I actually really like MON and think he’s way better than he’s showing. 😂😂

As it happens, we have a bloke who's saved us from relegation one season, has got us sitting in the top half of the table the next, and yet we've got idiots slagging him off left, right and centre and telling us there's no excuse for this poor run of form. I'm not going to pretend that what we're seeing now is thrilling- it isn't- but MON still has a mess to sort out that's going to take years to put right, and there'll be periods like this where we just have to hang on in there and not go into freefall. There simply isn't the depth of squad there to cope with injuries, and there's not enough financial wriggle room to buy our way out of problems. Until we're in a position where MON doesn't have to hunt for free transfers and cheap gambles, keeping us on an even keel (even if it's shit to watch) is fine by me. And all that is fine and I do agree with most of it especially the bit about the maniacs who want him out but cmon mate we’ve still got players out there who should be able to create and muster more efforts at goal than we are witnessing every week

3 you say mate?.....in 90 minutes at home 3!!!, we could of put Tranmere Rovers out there today and they’d of mustered 5-6 efforts at goal It’s poor fayre Rob and sadly it wasn’t a one off .....Saturday 21st November v Huddersfield was the last time I genuinely enjoyed a league match, we played well v Tottenham but that was what it was It’s awful mate I’ll take that as a good sign mate😄because the last time you were bored rigid with a manager’s football we got promoted👍 Fuck off 😊

7.5
didn't watch ..sounded pretty solid. But puzzled again why the subs weren't put on sooner and more positively. EG Why not Matondo for JMac ..& sooner.
We are so expert at drawing that Stoke are nailed on for the Turner Prize

Only Sheffield Wednesday (2.59) are worse, and they had a good month of Pulis football. If they were carrying on their average under Monk we'd be bottom of the league for testing the goalkeeper.
Remarkably, we are only just below Wycombe Wanderers (2.89) but at least we should be fair to them. They've been missing Scott Kashket for a few weeks and Adebayo Akinfenwa doesn't look like he's adjusted to the Championship yet...

Nigel Pearson on Quest
Balanced view
High expectations Need to hold our nerve Plenty to play for Well organised team Need pace alongside Allen and Mikel to get the ball forward more quickly Make more of our chances
Generally positive discussion from all 3 presenters

On another thread I proposed him to be a replacement for O'Neill should he leave and was shot down in flames as he's been sacked twice in 12 months by one poster, and laughed at by another.
Next.
In all seriousness he is right about needing pace alongside Allen and Mikel so just bypass that and play Powell just a bit further forward and just off a forward. In other words, extract every last ounce out of what you have until you have the proper tools to play your preferred system.

7 - considering the number of injuries and players coming back, new players, we seem to be coming back to something like form.
