Performed a miracle keeping us up, and deserves a shot long-term. That said, the football at the moment is shit and it needs sorting ASAP otherwise he’s going to light a very ferocious fire under his arse. Calling for his head is daft, we’re a shit side with an awful squad these days and any talk of play offs or promotion when we’ve still got overpaid toss like Joe Allen on the books is starry eyed nonsense. We can’t become one of these clubs that chops and changes their manager constantly, it’s a very shit run with an opportunity to stop the rot with two very favourable home games. Lockdown has got us even more trigger happy than usual it seems. At the moment? It's been shit all season

He’s made the team he inherited in the relegation mire worse? You’ll need to expand on that...... We were miles better under him last season than this. It’s not even close. But you said he's made the team he INHERITED a lot worse. He's made them a lot better despite the obvious dip in form......

At the end of the day the players just aren't good enough and it will be the same next season. There's loads of players out of contract at the end of next season and only then we can start the rebuild properly. WRONG! These are the same players who finished Top 6 in the form table for the last 20 games of last season. This was largely because MON played the guys in their best positions, and this is what led to stonking results like beating Brentford and Forest in the last 2 games. MON is now stubbornly sticking his job on 4–3-3 when it clearly doesn’t suit the players. If he’d reverted back to his mindset of those last 20 games, we really could have made the playoffs, but he’s well and truly shafted it. I’ve had enough of negative managers like Lambert, Rowett and MON dragging us down, with a total clown in between, not showing flexibility in the formations they deploy. Get rid, and bring a proper football man in like Nigel Adkins.

Absolutely bang on with the first two paragraphs I say Adkins because he’s a 4-2-3-1 man, he’s earned promotions inc to the Premier League, and Southampton fans still remember him fondly. Even Hull fans think he was harshly done by. But I’d be up for anyone who can show tactical fluidity instead of nailing themselves to one formation. We have a 4-2-3-1 squad, so play them that way and when you bring in players that suit a 4-3-3, a diamond or whatever, then send me out that way. It makes me cry thinking of the potential this squad had. It was our last throw of the dice with parachute payments, and now with FFP and we’re fucked and some of us may not be around if and when we get to the Premier League again.

Too soon, he's had really bad luck with injuries and had to pair down the squad, got to give him another 12 months at least. Who was missing from todays team apart from Campbell?

Its not a shit squad, if it was it wouldn't have stayed up last season, he's mismanaging what he has, he's already shown us what he should be doing, not one person has told me why he didn't stick with what was working and instead tried more than one system that doesn't.

Unpopular opinion, but we need to stick with MON. Yes, it's been turgid since Christmas (and it wasn't brilliant football, despite grinding out points before it) but 1 he has credit in the bank - if you had offered us being in this position 15 months ago, we would have taken it especially considering we are still burdened with the wasters, mercenaries and over hyped journeymen assembled by Teflon Tone, Cartwright, Sparky, Lambert, Rowett, and Nutty Nath with little to no scope from a financial or squad size sense to improve on what we already have - to have done as well as we have with this group until recently is a miracle in itself 2 he has promoted youth far more than any if his predecessors (Campbell, Collins, Souttar, Bursik to a degree - though hands were tied) 3 we need stability as changing the manager would not result in an upturn in my opinion - who would we get in? Pardew? McClaren? Coleman? Or another of yesterdays men with middling to bang average track records? We've tried change before and it hasn't been successful has it? And, most importantly 4 the anticipated rebuild has to include getting rid of Teflon Tone before anyone else - it's no coincidence that our fortunes have nosedived ever since he's taken a more hands on role, a change of direction for me means not repeating the same mistakes and letting the same clowns oversee the process. Unfortunately, he's in with the Coateses and the problem with having a family run club where, I'm guessing, you have your friends running the show with you does lead to complacency and lack of accountability - plus it speaks volumes that when Rowett took on Scholes and Cartwright (who, if he didn't leave of his own volition, would no doubt still be here too) that PC pulled the plug on Rowett.
I think that MON might be the man to stabilise us, and am confident he's the right man to build at least the foundations of our rebuild provided he's given complete autonomy without interference from our beloved CEO. If he's the man to get us to push on, the jury's still out, and I guess we won't know until the season after next (if he's still here of course) when he might finally have a group that he has picked, built and been happy with himself, instead of being lumbered with what we have at the moment.

Get real folks christ knows what most think we are but we ain't a top 6 team and we won't be till we can rid at least 6 top earners out of the club at least 6 and we can stop haemorrhaging money on wages, till then we are going nowhere and like it or not MON is the man the club want to try and sort it.
Get used to it we've got 18 months before it starts getting better!

There is nothing wrong with the squad. We were looking at going top just three months ago. Suddenly our form is firmly in the relegation slots.
Apart from Campbell’s injury and Allen’s return what else has happened?

I've looked up Paul Cook's Wigan teams from last season and he's a 4-2-3-1 disciple. I'm happy to go for him instead of Adkins, and he's out of work at the moment too. Sorry MON. I'm forever grateful that you saved us from certain relegation and I truly believed you would take us where we belong... but you're just too stubbon and set in your ways to see the wood for the trees. You need to go, and we need to bring the Cookie Monster in now!!!
