Just been on SSN, showing how we are preparing for life in the Prem. Highlight was interviewing the groundsman! Anyhow, he said we have just had delivery of new goal posts to comply with Premier League requirements. Now, whats the difference what league you are in, aren't they a standard size?
Any ideas??

Yea Pulis has decided to have this barn door fitted instead, in the hope that Sidibe can hit it better with his banjo!

it'll be to do with the bits that hold the nets out, less obstructive to cameras at a guess, them fucking sky twats fuck about with every thing .
Surreystokie showed us The Premier league rule book at the recent southern stokies AGM, The club have to complie with every single one before the season kicks off, it was the quite a chunky book.
It even specifies such things as food and refreshments for Journalists being served on the same floor, and directly behind their seats ..... which is a bit of a problem as the current room for their food and stuff is on the ground floor in one corner, and their seats are not .

Said new dugouts too, saying ''it'll give a pitch-level view for the coaching staff''.
Well didn't they give that anyway ???

The space between the back row of the dugout seats and the front row is ridiculous, especially with out players all being 6ft odd I'm 5'11 and it was very uncomfortable to sit there. Wouldn't be surprised if there was new ones

Broxap are fitting the dugouts etc.
They will be sunk below pitch level and the cost of the the dugout renovation is around 50k. Would imagine they are sinking them to give a better view from behind etc.
They are apparently looking into Recaro seats as well... the seats will be an additional cost to the 40k.
It's a dear old do!

a suppose they have got to do something with the dugouts because if they want to get full houses in each week then they are going to have to improve the view from behind them. will also be good for on tv as when pulis comes to the dugout he can sign a couple of autographs like fergie does at old trafford

Dugouts are going to be moved forward closer to the pitch and slightly sunken I was told.

Re the goalposts- I heard our Tone was worried about the inevitable defeats to the big 4 next season- hence the pitch shortening and the new goal posts. A clever way of keeping the score down. We've ordered a set of these to help us along the way and avoid the MOTD humiliation.

I'm all for these fancy chairs and dugouts but could we make Ferguson sit on an upturned pail infront of the Boothen?

I saw the SSN clip last night and I see that we are having new dugouts - closer to the pitch, bigger to get more people on & prob more comfy seats (like at Utd & Spurs)

I am delighted that we are having new Goals and Dugouts. It shows what progress we have made as a club in recent times. We should all be so proud of the work being done by all at the club.
I do though, hate those square shaped nets that we have to have. Give me the old style like at the victoria Ground.
Well done Tony Pulis and all at the club.

Went on a tour of St James Park, not Exeter either! Their dugouts have recarros, heated for home team, stone cold for away! Home dugout also has telecoms equiptment & replays away does not, use everything you can to your advantage Stoke!

Sink the dugouts? Hopeless seeing them at ground level (which is why the best seats at any stadium are on high) so what advantage the manager/coach seeing them from even lower?!
