I really loved a lot we did today, with the obvious exception of not closing them right down for the equaliser - but Mick got us braver and bolder than for a while and if we'd hung on for 3 points we'd have been worth it. Bearing in mind the sending off too:
8 from me

4, was all going well untill he started doing his standard trick of sitting back. Not sure why he did it, his 4-3-3 was working, at least more than the wing backs, it just wasn't needed.
I know people will call me this that and the other but its not the first time he's done it, he has form for it.
2 points thrown away from a pretty strong position.
Edit: he also needs to start subbing his faves when they've clearly ran out of steam.

Yes, 8 from me as well. The starting eleven showed promise and 3-1 at half time would not have flattered us.

At times we looked excellent. We’re definitely evolving.
But there’s still a frailty and a tendency to go into our shells when the pressure comes.
Overall a solid 7.

8 for me, undone by the Powell injury which shows how much we depend on him. Once he went off we failed to hold the ball up front which resulted in constant pressure on our defence. Without Powell or Fletcher or ideally both we really struggle.

Yes, 8 from me as well. The starting eleven showed promise and 3-1 at half time would not have flattered us. Agree 2 new players starting, 1 included and used from the bench, Mikel and Allen still working their way back to 100% fitness and the manager is getting loads of grief. We need to have realistic expectations, initial target from most fans was a comfortable mid table / top half finish - now fans are suggesting we're failing if we don't make the playoffs Of course ambition is important, we have many young players featuring , still learning as they go Cheer up, it's another point

6. Players were totally out on there feet and he chose not to add fresh legs. In game management cost us that today.

5, Two points given away. We lost it in mid field. Mikel or Allen, or both should of been subbed after an hour.

10 with no vokes -9 then picking Brown
So a 1 for me.
Sitting back just kills us, never learns.

The players lack stamina. This has been the case for a couple of seasons. I had hoped MON would sort this out but unfortunately he hasn’t. Today was three points on a plate that we just couldn’t take as we ran out of steam. I know we have players coming back from long term injuries but the others look just as heavy legged.
7/10 because we still aren’t fit enough.

A 7 from me - an encouraging performance for 60 odd mins then seems to lose the plot - we are getting there now I think and will improve further as the new guys settle in......

6.5 from me.
He went at it to get 3points, tried to go at it again after the break, made that ‘massively important positive’ sub that loads of fans have been criticising him for not making in the past - that was our downfall.
It should have been a couple of boring sensible subs, Cousins/Clucas to sure up while they were starting to get on top - but then if he did that we wouldn’t hear the end of it from the boring boo boys that he didn’t make a positive sub so what can you do.

6. Didn't change things when he needed to.
Brown was fucked so the ball just kept coming back at us for the final half hour.

The first half was really good but the points lost again are on him.
Stevie Wonder could see we needed fresh legs in the middle and he failed to bring them on. And that cost us.

6.5.
First hour was excellent, picked the right side and we were in complete control.
The last half an hour was awful management though. I think everyone saw their goal coming apart from our manager. Allen and Mikel should have been taken off for Cousins and Clucas about ten minutes before they scored.
Throwing away points from a winning position is starting to become his party trick.

An impressive first half, but instead of maintaining the momentum we started sitting back after an hour or so and paid the inevitable price.
He used Thompson in a more forward position and, for a while, it worked well.

8 - up until 70th minute
3 - after 70 minutes
We all could see that certain players were tired and needed to be subbed off for fresh legs.
2 points lost because the manager stood on the touchline with his fingers up his arse when everybody except him knew changes had to be made.

What was your verdict? Mowbray: We played against a good team, Joe Allen, Mikel showed their quality. We're disappointed with the goal. Set pieces were their biggest threat. We didn't look like scoring for 70 minutes. We looked off our intensity levels. We huffed and puffed. But we got a goal, ended up playing the last 10 minutes against 10 men. I don't think that helped us other than taking away their threat. They put an extra centre-half on. Their experience showed. If you analyse their team, they've got some experienced players who have played at the top level of international football.

8. Initial team selection was great. Really chuffed he seems to be settling on the flat back 4. Blackburn played very well in the last 25 minutes and I'm not sure fresh legs were enough alone to combat that.
