Wimmer, not likely, but if it happens we'll have to pay most of his wages I think. Bauer, surprised he wasn't loaned out already this summer! Will do well somewhere else I think. Could we hope for a loan and then a permanent transfer? Lindsay, was one of the better defenders in league one when we brought him in, must be possible to offload permanently? Ince, a good player that needs to restart somewhere else. Maybe a loan with view to a permant deal? McClean, is it time to offload? If a decent bid came in I would do! Smith, is this a possibility as well? If we bring O'Donnell in it could happen? Could it be a permanent deal as well? We have an awful lot of midfielders when everybody is fit, Powell, Mikel, Allen, Clucas, Cousins, Thompson, Tymon and TOB, could we see one or two being loaned out? Tymon and TOB? Think we need to offload 2-3 before we can add more than that winger from Schalke and a striker.

Gregory injured so can't see him going this window
Wimmer & Bauer out on loan abroad with no loan fee & Stoke paying 90%+ of their wages?
Lyndsey might attract interest from other champ clubs?
Ince to Derby (or anywhere) would make it a fantastic window even if only on loan
Vokes might attract a loan deal too, managers often go for a target man on short term basis
after that dunno?

As well as the obvious ones Allen or Clucas would be good business preferably Allen, we've not missed him greatly over the last 9 months and Clucas has a habit of getting a few goals as well as a good taker of set pieces, also Allens massive wages would give us a bit of breathing space with the FFP. Gouranga.

I think realistically we have to listen to offers for any player. If it is attractive and it can move our transition on faster, we have to consider it. Harsh, but these are the times we live in now.

Verlinden, Smith and hopefully Ince.
Would love to see Lindsay, Wimmer and Bauer gone.
Would make sense to release Gunn.
Shame we can’t get our money back for Brown and Vokes.

No we don't. We don't have to sell any of the younger players. The older players and those on bigger wages then I agree, unfortunately. Although they'll be harder to shift for those very reasons. I also don't buy the 'we haven't missed Joe Allen' mantra. We looked so much better on Saturday with him buzzing round harrying the oppo. We pressed much higher up the pitch. When he ran out of steam in the second half we looked far poorer.

Gouranga. Not missed Allen? Along with Powell, our only midfielders who can run and pass accurately when going forward. We have rarely played fluently since Allen was injured. Even half fit his ability to link attack and defence has been obvious since he came back

I know an Antiques Dealer in the Welsh Borders who specialises in rustic and provincial furniture, especially Welsh Dressers and Wardrobes. So I've brought the availability of Vokes to his attention to see if he's interested.

Do we really need Baath and Shawcross to cover the current centre backs, especially if we revert to 4 at the back?.

Do we really need Baath and Shawcross to cover the current centre backs, especially if we revert to 4 at the back?. And if Souttar and Collins got injured we'd be in the shit. And you'd be first in the queue moaning about the stupid decision to let them go.

Do we really need Baath and Shawcross to cover the current centre backs, especially if we revert to 4 at the back?. Probably not, I'd keep Baath above Shawcross though based on recent form and injuries, although I doubt anyone is going to take a change on Shawcross who I presume will be earning a pretty penny. It also would be a real shame for Ryan to leave before the fans are back and to have a proper send off, I suspect he'll be here for the rest of the season but surely it doesn't make sense to give him a new contract and keep him beyond then.
In an ideal world we'd move on Wimmer, Bauer, Vokes, Ince, and Lindsay/Shawcross/Baath this window. But if we had a reasonable offer for McClean/Smith/Allen/Clucas/Tymon then I'd let them move on. Selling Allen/Clucas would weaken the midfield and I'd be sad to see them go, but realistically they are the ones that might interest teams in the lower half of the premier league.
Then in the summer we still have those out on loan coming back: Afobe, BMI, and Ndiaye until 2022, and Etebo until 2023. Realistically we're looking at the summer of 2022 before we get rid of the majority of the dead wood, and 2023 for some of them. Our transfer business in the past 5 years has been abysmal, what an incredible amount of money we have wasted with nothing to show for it.
I hope we keep MON for the long term and start developing our own players rather than signing big names who are coming to the end of their careers. With a few additions we have a really good team for this league and we should stand a decent chance of top 6 or maybe even top 2 next season.

You’d hope someone somewhere would want Lindsay even if it was heavily subsidised by us. He needs to be playing and someone in the lower half of the league, League One or SPL should want him.
Someone somewhere will want Ince imo.
I wouldn’t get rid of Batth yet tbh unless he’s prepared to use Wimmer if we get injuries.
Ideally Wimmer and Bauer get a move even if we’re paying their wages. They need game time to try and get a move somehow.

I’m sure I read somewhere that a Russian club came in for Wimmer and Bauer just before the last deadline. It didn’t get done on time obviously, but I wonder if they will come back?

If any player goes it is likely that the deal won't be a great one. Its no secret that we are suffering under fair play rules and other clubs will take advantage of that to drive a hard bargain (and who could blame them).

Who handed him that contract? Whoever it was should have been sacked as soon as it was realised it was the worst signing in the history of signings. I do hope he still isn't on 80k a week At least we watched all 20 of his 5 games before he signed though

Would there be a case for loaning Shawcross?. At his age he won't benefit being a bench warmer and it would give him chance to prove his fitness moving forward?.

Nah, I think he's nearly done as a pro now and MON will see he has more benefit being around his current central defenders to help them develop. Just my opinion anyway.

Its no secret that we are suffering under fair play rules and other clubs will take advantage of that to drive a hard bargain (and who could blame them). I think this is why Wimmer and Bauer are still here. We are trying to show clubs we won't just roll over and pay all/most of their wages. Will it work? probably not but I can see the logic.

Can’t see us getting rid of McClean as he is the left wing back at present. I would be relatively happy to sell Allen, but doubt a prem team will take him. I think that TOB needs a loan to help him develop. I imagine we will try to sell Verlinden for pennies. On the other side, I don’t see us spending money other than loan fees and potentially, a nominal fee to bring someone in.

You think we will offload Smith? It makes sense as I've replied to Bolders He's the main target in our defense for our opposition, and I think Collins performances there have possibly made MON realise we're much stronger without him
