Players giving their all for the manager Under performing player out injured? Left back position still an issue International break still shit Steino was our best striker
Good performance by Cousins again Only 3 points off 3rd No need to keep Gunn after this season Every first letter is important

You could still keep the hidden message intact if you replaced Steino with Steele who probably really was our best striker - probably long before your time though - and mine!

Players playing for the shirt. Under a proper manager. Letting in less goals than I can ever recall. It’s easy when you have a manager like MON. Stoke are on the way back. Ince still can’t fight his way out of a paper bag. Still at least Cousins looks class.
Get Joe Allen back and we’ve a great midfield. Odds on we’ll be in the playoffs in May. Dare to dream.

As much as I believe as bad as we are we could get promoted on form and a lot of luck. It is like I don't want us too unless there's a plan in place already to give us a half chance of staying up if we do make it.

It is like I don't want us too unless there's a plan in place already to give us a half chance of staying up if we do make it. Having seen how MON makes and execute plans as an international manager - and as a club manager at Stoke, he doesn't come across as the sort of manager who would not have a plan as to how to cope with promotion. And, don't forget, getting promoted to the Prem is by far the best and quickest way to remove the monkey of FFP restrictions off our back. Our annual income would, at a stroke, increase by over £100 million, meaning that life would be much easier for MON in that he would have decent money to improve the squad compared to this season when the amount he has had to spend on players is lower than any other Stoke manager since the pre Pulis days.

Indeed, that would be how I see it too. Life is difficult with a 3rd choice keeper, the whole of the 1st choice midfielders injured along with our best striker by a mile. So Pete needs to dig deep to get a striker in. If so we can do it.

Thanks for saying that. I now feel much better about all things Stoke City.

We are as we are up to and including Bournemouth. Which is a shame for that game but we’ve then three weeks for the transfer team to work their Magic before Watford . Have to turn the Bournemouth game into a scrap which is how Wednesday beat them and ideally win a game before then

My overriding thought is that there is only 1 jordan cousins despite it appearing like there are several game by game.
He's here, he's there, he's every fucking where Jordan Cousins.
We've got something no ones got, we've got something no ones got, we've got something no ones got, we've got Jordan Cousins.

Stubborn, predictable, infuriating, etc etc. But never boring!! Points win prizes. As others have said, judge his football when he’s had time to build his own squad and we’re not decimated by injuries. For now it’s all about points. And he’s ticking that box.

I’ve told you, the injuries on the whole imo have helped us bar Campbell. And we have a really good squad. I don’t agree with that narrative at all, sorry. But it was a good win, against one of the better sides in the division and I’ve seen the goal and diving headers are one of the best things in football so happy days. McClean could take some lessons from Fox in crossing mind. Amazing turnaround from Fox because before this past month his crossing has been dogshit. 3 assists in the last 4 weeks is it?

And yes play offs was expected before the season. 5 games in or less I knew we were better than that. This squad is ace, people need to have faith.

In MON. He is good. But he can easily be so much better. I don’t think it needs another and actually in another year Collins probably won’t be here, Souttar might not be and Campbell might not be. Then we’re fucked. That’s my worry. People have faith in him. But as I said the other day this season he has been the limiting factor. These young players are the drivers of this.

We're nowhere near good enough to go up in my opinion but what he's done to change the mentality and guts of the shambolic weak willed mob he inherited, isn't far short of a miracle.
