Excellent, underrated manager. Pre-Klopp he was the manager who achieved most success for Liverpool in the last 25 years. Brought them out of the boot room and modernised them.

Decent manager. How different his career might have been if Ginola had wasted time in the corner.

RIP Gerard, seemed a genuinely sound bloke. Iโm sure the players who played for him will say the same. What a load of crap this year has been

He was the manager of the French side who were knocked out of the World Cup group stages on that now very famous night in Paris v Israel?
That never left him apparently

Very sad. RIP

The fine lines of success and failure. Bulgaria were remarkable in reaching the semi. Letchkov Stoichkov and Kostadinov. If Ginola had took the ball to the corner none of it would have happened.

Always seemed a very genuine guy. 73 is no age at all - it is younger than me for a start. I wonder if the pandemic played any part in him not getting the level of care he needed when recovering from his operation? I do hope not.
As someone has said above he was one of Liverpool's better managers of the pre Klopp era.
RIP Gerard.
