Depends.
Norwich I was fine because we deserved fuck all.
Last night I was fuming because it was unavoidable stuff that caused us to lose.

I drink a big bottle of cider down the town park. I am a member of a wine tasting club. That’s where we normally meet in the afternoons. 🙃🍾 Is that cheap Lidl stuff?

Personally I just ‘shut down’ and try not to think about anything except one thing, how the fuck Sam Vokes gets paid for doing what he does.

When I was a kid it would ruin my weekend and I'd be pissed off for days. Age mellows you though and you can generally shrug it off, but now and then, a loss comes along that absolutely boils your piss and last night was one of those. I, and seemingly every single person on here knew that Fat Sam was going to miss. If I could have got a bet on quick enough it would have been a considerable amount of money. I have zero doubt that we score that penno and we win the match.
I was genuinely pissed off last night and still am, and it's caused by the cruel mistress that is hope. We are very close to being a decent team, and the hope of a decent season is there with a genuine flirt at promotion. We've come so far and then in one instant it gets dashed and was completely predictable. I shrug defeats off when we're shit and don't deserve the win, but last night really hurt - win that game and anything was possible. Feels like we're back on the hamster wheel now.

More badly when we throw a game away we should have won, like last night.

Last night definitely tougher than most.
I've brushed off 95% of the crap we've seen - but yesterday was a slow motion car crash from the hour mark and I did sulk like I used to when I was 11 or 12
Awful game between 2 pretty limited teams on the night - but still a lot to like in that first hour. And then to see us flush it all down the toilet in such a self-sabotaging way was too much to take, even with all the mitigation of the ridiculous injury crisis.

I never forget the Chelsea match the first season in Prem when we lost two goals right at end of match after being 1-0 up. I was fuming for days. This for me was the one I remember..!!! Fuckin gutted, watching the game with 6/7 Chelsea lads as well, I was bouncing around in front of them, then suddenly remember there was still a few mins left..!!! Went to the bar, they scored, went to the toilet and climbed out of the window ripping my shirt and jeans... walked home, saw we’d lost 2-1 never went back into that pub again.!!!!!

Gutting; but we had lost to one of the best teams in Europe. Last night we threw it all away against one of the best teams in south Wales. I'm still not over it.

I just genuinely try and forget that football exists at all, I dont watch any other games as I find myself getting frustrated that Stoke can't play like the teams who win.
Either that or I jump on FIFA and replay the match with Stoke, comprehensively winning of course.

I am fine after a defeat, apart from being pissed off and in a mood for a few days

Like others have said it just depends. Last night was a proper hours-long, muttering under the breath, slamming kitchen drawers, annoying the Mrs lingering bad mood. Losing narrowly (or even heavily) to a good side doesn't hurt so much.
Weirdly enough the defeat I've probably got over quickest was the FA Cup final. Pissed off and wondering what might have been but deep down I knew it was just a game too far. A quiet moment of wistful reflection, polite clap as they lifted the trophy and I was over it and chatting genially with both Stoke and ManC fans back in the pub. Teased them a bit about "buying it" but I didn't feel at all resentful. Somebody had to lose, it was just one of them. (I appreciate not everybody reacted in the same way...)

Remember that it's just a game and that there will be another one along in a day or two.

In normal circumstances I find the car journey home sufficiently long to allow me to time to get any defeat out of my system, no matter how frustrating Not being at the games currently I find that my emotions, win, lose or draw, are pretty muted. maybe it's because I miss the build up, anticipation and alcohol...?
