Verlinden has to start. He is the only creative spark/tricky player we have left if Campbell is out.
Powell up front if Brown is knackered.

I think he will start Chester instead of Souttar and maybe give Ince a chance against his old club Derby. He scored the winner against them in his first season.

From what MON said in his presser Bursik Smith Collins Soutter Fox Cousins Thompson Brown Powell Verlinden Fletcher Tymon for Thompson, no Vokes on the bench and we'll win it comfortably

If Campbell is out (extremely likely) and Brown knackered (very possibly) we already know that Vokes and Ince offer absolutely nothing - we have to at least have something different on the bench "Judy incase" - are there a couple of speedy forwards in the U23's (surely we can risk popping a couple on the bench with 7 subs to be named).
Sometimes it is times like these where a youngster really pops up out of nowhere - didn't Rashford come from Man Utd's U18 straight into the first team and never looked back - I'm not saying we have an U23 in that mould but you never know. NIMOI and all that.
Also, if Campbell is out for a period we really need to try to get Liam Delap on loan in January.

Just need Derby to take a battering tonight, all their players be knackered, couple of injuries and a couple of red cards.
That will do nicely.

I'd still expect this side to get a result.

I'd still expect this side to get a result. Bursik Smith Collins Chester Fox Cousins TOB Tymon Ince Powell Verlinden That front 3 could be the only option. Vokes can't be on the list of possibilities. Sometimes it takes a clarifying moment and hopefully last night was MON's with Vokes. I'd be amazed if we rushed Fletcher back. And realistically there's no way we'd start Godfrinne or Norton. Suddenly Derby look one hell of a hurdle

Maybe a chance of Fletcher being on he bench? I'd honestly use Shawcross up front over Vokes too.

Unlike the Wycombe game the next match doesn't qualify for a crowd attendance. At least there will be no Derby crowd behind them and no physical presence. Unless they let the Rooney family in as guests.

I'd still expect this side to get a result. Bursik Smith Collins Chester Fox Cousins TOB Tymon Ince Powell Verlinden I'd go with Bursik Smith Collins,Souttar,Chester, Fox Cousins Tymon, TOB Powell & Verlinden assuming Brown & Fletcher are out I don't like the first side because Ince is in it tbh the second side looks a bit wrong too but no Ince & no Vokes & no one else left

Thompson will almost definitely be fit from what MON has said so I expect Tymon to move to the left replacing McLean although I prefer him in the middle. Souttar will replace Collins in the middle with Collins at right back where at the moment I prefer him. Best case scenario we have Mikel and Fletcher available so I'm hoping for: Bursik Collins Souttar Chester Fox Cousins JOM Thompson Tymon Fletcher Powell I'm assuming of course that Campbell won't play so we'll be relying on Fletcher and Powell to score.

In ordinary times not a lot. But these aren't ordinary times. We're down to the bones and ANYONE who keeps that fat, useless, bag of wank Vokes out of the team is Messi as far as I'm concerned.

Looks like Curtis Davies has got a bad injury, so he won't be playing against us. Youngster on as his replacement

If Derby have lost Davies and Shinnie that is devastating for them. They are both their leaders on the pitch

Just watched the 2 min highlights from their game last night (yes I am that sad).
They had one chance where they hit the post, albeit they should have had a foul in the build up.
Brentford had 4/5 clear opportunities, most of them fell to mbeuma (sp) instead of Toney. On any other night they win that game comfortably.
Shouldn’t be much to fear from Derby at all really.

Problem is they will look at us, especially with the players we have missing, and think exactly the same.
