We really dont need 3 CB playing given level of opposition and especially when one of them is not a CB in Kyle Walker.
Drop Walker, play Henderson and Rice as the holding two, Grealish playing behind front 3 of Foden, Kane and Sancho

I'd stick Foden there tonight and play Mount outwide.

I would like to NOT see Pickford, Walker, Dire(sic) or Rice in the starting 11...

You're forgetting Iceland. They have a system and a code of ethics for which every man will die to save his brother. Every player adheres to this system without questioning why. It's gotten them far, not least in games vs England. Beating Iceland comfortably is quite unlikely. England on the other hand have no such thing, and the whole concept would be deemed laughable, among players, staff, and fans. Yet it works, Belgium, in a sense, did an Iceland Sunday. It frustrated England and they forgot how to play comfortably. They have a "way of playing" because their talent pool is limited, we have players like Foden sat on their arse doing nothing because we have a manager who is scared, there's a difference. You are talking about Belgium...?

Made a point of watching Rice a couple of internationals ago and whilst he did nothing spectacular his positional sense and awareness was actually very good (so jury still out for me). I would like to NOT see Pickford in the starting 11 ever again.

I’d say Gareth is out of his depth managing what is Shirley one of the most talented England squads of all time. We need to be more dynamic from here. That's a big exaggeration. With regards to our attackers - yeah fair enough, they are exceptionally good. But our options in goal and defence are really poor. This is what Southgate is having to balance at the moment (admittedly, not too convincingly at the moment). He picks the wrong keeper, that’s on him. I don’t think our defence is too bad tbh. Walker needs dropping, that’s on him again. Slab heads had a few personal issues but ultimately is a top centre half. Trent is world class. Southgate needs shifting imho.

I've seen no signs to suggest that Pope and Henderson are international class yet, let alone up there with Banks, Shilton, Seaman or even Joe Hart. I think Maguire is alright, and our best centre-half but again - well, well short of the best England centre-backs of the past. Dier and Rice are our best defensive midfielders... Southgate is getting things wrong at the moment but with this personnel, this England team will always be fragile and unbalanced. In any case, there is no chance Southgate is going anywhere in the lead-up to a major tournament.

Played pretty well there I thought, only tuned in after we’d scored though. Grealish looking good again as is Foden and Mount

Grealish is a talent. What a player.
Definitely has a bit of Gazza about him.
Someone who can genuinely excite.
Brilliant feet and so nifty in tight spaces.

He won the free kick which created the first goal. Wow. Which was a superb ball in from Foden. It was. Foden has had a good game too. Grealish won the free kick. Foden set it up. And a good header too. None of it happens without Grealish winning the free kick. He does it so often with his quick feet and change of direction. He draws so many fouls in dangerous areas. Top talent.
