From the days when i first started watching football ,late 70s i 've always been a bit envious of them. From the Star Soccer days at Filbert Street,a ground i loved. There kit in the late 70's with that big collar,Mark Wallington was a great keeper that when you played in goals you tried to be him. They seemed to always do well in play offs,as we know.Odd League Cup win and other finals plus they won the big one and as i type top again.Really not sure if i like them, loathe them either way i find myself being jealous of them.Totally aware of their financial situation a few years ago but they lead a very coloured existence.

When Leicester won the title, as much as it was clearly one of the greatest (if not THE greatest) sporting stories of all time, I definitely felt some bitterness too. Leicester as a club are very much in our size bracket but they’re infinitely more successful. In fact, you could say that for almost every club in our size bracket.

When you see what’s happening to clubs like Bury & Macc, the shenanigans at Leicester leave a bad taste in the mouth. The fact that Rogers is their manager just adds another reason to dislike them. Lol. The way that they are now genuinely challenging the top six, however gives a club like us hope. They have some good players & are a good team to watch, too, to be fair...

If only Denise liked football, I'm convinced we'd be on a similar level to Leicester and Wolves. I hate seeing similar sized clubs to us leaving us behind. Southampton are also doing well with less fanfare. That's why this takeover at Derby worries me.

It’s a bit annoying when you look how far they have come and how far we have dropped from the day we got promoted to the prem. even more frustrating when you watch them now and realise they are now streets ahead of us regarding quality.

I have watched Derby, Villa, Forest and now Leicester have good patches and win titles and trophies in my time. Stoke were the best side in the country when Derby won the title - we passed and outplayed a Derby side, that won the title, off the park on a pitch that had no grass on it. We have a bit of an Indian sign though don't we - we have a half good squad in the 70's and our roof blows off and we have to sell them all, we make our first FA cup final in our history in top form and then one-by-one we lose nearly the whole first eleven to injury. That said I love and really enjoyed all of the other midland sides success - and am enjoying watching Leicester at the moment - they are a breath of fresh air. We will never win anything will we, but we live in hope

This hard-done-by "it never happens to us" attitude makes me laugh - when it actually does happen to us we don't bloody realise or remember it. It's all swings and roundabouts. Five years ago the idea of being jealous of Wolves or Leicester would have been hysterical... maybe it's just footy fans in general but we do seem to specialise in it down Stoke.

Any club that challenges the top six deserves support. The more teams with a shot at the gold, the better for the game - and therefore for the rest of us.

Frank Worthington was some player in the 70’s.
Always seemed to get loads of him in the Panini stickers.

Try living down here Funny how no Leicester fans can remember the dodgy dealings when they went bust, and loads deserted them the season after they won the Prem...plastic fans There are a few solid LCFC fans, but they are thin on the ground BTW Vardy is a cheating **nt

I could be wrong though Their League Cup wins came back in 1997 and 2000, also making the final in 1999. It still sticks in the mind because they had not long beaten us in the play-offs. Our two clubs went in a very different direction not long after that.

It’s just the ebb and flow of being a football fan, especially a fan of clubs outside the “elite”.
Leicester and Wolves are doing brilliantly, but sadly for them history tells us it won’t last. As we know to our cost, it only takes a poor managerial appointment, and a few costly mistakes in the transfer market to destroy a decade of good work.
In five years time the picture could look completely different.

Should have it struck off the list.

It's all mark Hughes's fault , if he hadn't loaned them Huth they could have been relegated in 2014/15, they escaped by 6 points but only after winning 7 out of the last 9 games, a few by the odd late goal. They beat us 1-0 at the Brit that season with their only attempt on target, a back heel from Ulloa? We had 27 attempts and 6 on target, 16 corners to their 3, they were a lucky side that season
