?? He started with a back 4 like on Wednesday. Went to 3/5 at the back after half time when TOB came on and McLean went to left wing back and stuck with 5 at the back by sending Collins on to release McLean back up front when Fletcher came off. It meant the wing backs added a bit more defensively out wide as that was where they were causing us trouble. That's not correct. He started 343 and as soon as the 2nd goal went in he went 352. Startred with a back 4 and changed it after the two goals.

10 from me. After some early pressure, defensively we were excellent and that was the foundation for the win.

If we carry on for the remainder of the season on this current form of winning half our games and drawing a few others then we should get at least 77 points. This is easily enough to put us in the play offs.

Ten and I’d be interested if can anyone identify the last time we won 3-0 away at the league leaders as I don’t ever recall it ,

Startred with a back 4 and changed it after the two goals. So why was Powell playing on the left from kick off? didn’t we start of more of a 4-2-3-1 Smith...Souttar...Batth..... Fox .........Mikel............Thompson Campbell....Powell.....McClean .................Fletcher................. Maybe wrong though

Maybe wrong though This is what I thought tbh, the comentators on the stream I was watching said they were expecting a 3 at back then mentioned how it looked like it was actually a 4, Powell looked more across that middle than anything else, just didn't manage to get into the game.

Maybe, I've just mentioned on the other thread that maybe we were trying to overload that side for some reason.

Got it spot on today, soaked up the pressure and took our chances, identified what Reading do and how they play and set traps and exploited them.

7- result outweighed performance. Is this our first league win at Reading since the 4-3 under Lou in the early 90s? I can remember a cup win there under Brian Little but nothing much league wise. The last league win at Reading was a 1-0 victory with a goal from Dave Regis on Boxing Day 1992 (I was there) The 4-3 game that you mention was the previous season.

McClean was just up and down a lot, and Fox tended to took in. Though its hard with camera angles as you can't always see the shape of the back line when you are on the front foot, so I could well be mistaken.

9 from me, the first 20 minutes we were totally off the pace and could of paid dearly for it. But we settled after the goal and nullified Reading to a great extent. Substitutions were good as was the change of shape.
O’Neil got most things right today, a great win. We continue to move forward, still need more creativity to go with the hard work and to improve our passing and movement but it’s all going in the right direction. I feel once everything comes together we will stop playing in patches and start to dominate games.
Well done Michael O’Neil

9.5 from me. A brilliant and crucial win at a very important time. Michael O'Neil got almost everything right. His personel and tactical changes were spot on apart from I don't think TOB is quite the right person to bring on when it was so important to keep possession during the closing stages of the game. Hence why I've deducted the boss half a point.
OS.
