Didn't the Stones play the Victoria Ground once, or am I just getting confused. Perhaps after years of the club signing veterans. Edit: Thinking about it, this might have been Trentham Gardens! Mid 70's.

Was Trader Jacks a chain, as I remember a club of the same name in Blackpool, early 80's.

I used to play Cricket for Blurton CC on Poplar Drive and would enjoy an after match pint (or six) in the Blurton Arms and later in Trader Jacks, where I considered myself to be a real trendy guy.

Goodness me, forgot about them .... How Long ago was that 1975.....and it’s my belief that this is when our love in with Delilah started after Alex Harvey sang it to 100s of Stokies. The first home game of the next season we outsung hammers fan bubbles song with it. But it wasn’t fully adopted until later.
