10 goals in 8 games for Toney at Brentford now.
That lad was always going to score goals at this level.

It’s crazy bigger clubs haven’t been onto him before now. Maybe they have, maybe there’s been some “issues” with professionalism or whatever, don’t know. But Brentford have got yet another snip, what a transfer system they have.

Hardly rocket science though is it - have a look at the top scorer in L1, is he any good? Can we afford him? Surely it's Transfer Targets 101?
It helps if you've got large incoming transfer fees, which Brentford have managed.
I assume that the lure of of London appeals to some of these players who are borderline 'a higher level', or looking for the next rung on the ladder. A nice club to settle in at, where you'll get games, get looked after, and you're virtually in the West End of London.

Middlesbrough look very impressive this season, think they will be there or thereabouts.

Middlesbrough look very impressive this season, think they will be there or thereabouts. Warnock is a great manager but I think they’ll struggle when they need to use their squad. Play off squeak maybe

Big four days! A couple of good results and we could be within a point of the current leaders, 2 defeats and we could be 13 behind

It’s a big game tomorrow. 3 points will give the players and hopefully the manager belief we can kick on and throw off the shackles

But this is Stoke. Whenever we start thinking or talking about this sort of optimistic viewpoint, we usually end up getting a severe kick in the teeth.

But this Stoke. Whenever we start thinking or talking about this sort of optimistic viewpoint, we usually end up getting a severe kick in the teeth. What we say doesn’t affect the result, it’s good to have a bit of optimism sometimes. I’d rather spend a few days thinking we can win this than we we can lose this. Because either way we will feel good if we win and feel bad if we lose.
