Batth mat not be Beckenbaur but he's a decent stopper. I always feel more confident when he's in.

Swansea game was a bit different , they had their own way of playing ( good for them)
But the usual story this season has been targeting the oppositions weaknesses
Basically , it seems in the championship , if Stoke pick Chester , then teams target him in the air .
There is no need for MoN to give them this easy option , when he has got Souttar , Collins ,Batth and Lindsay on the books .
Just pick two ( or three ) from souttar ,Collins ,Batth and Lindsay

I think you're jumping to conclusions, really. The Millers had very little to offer attacking wise and the central defenders didn't have much to do. You're making it sound as if Batth single handedly kept them at bay. That notwithstanding it's always good for a player to have some sequence going, and Batth won't mind being mister clean sheet. But we've played enough games over the previous 18 months where that was not exactly the case.

When was the last time we kept a clean sheet? Oh, the last time Batth was a part of the defence I think!

You can't knock Dannys' defending, his distribution and panic whacking yes, put him alongside Souttar and Collins its job done.

What was that slip in front of Gunn? That wasn't good defending and probably gave Gunn his most nervous moment.

Let’s see how he/we get on over the next two games.

I have a suspicion Gunn shouted keeper, but that situation is too tight and he really should let Batth head the ball as far away as possible. It's my guess though because of a very unlike reaction from Batth.

Seems more shouty than Chester and better in the air. Would always pick him first but I'm hoping Souttar/Collins works as our CB pairing.

Batth played well, but let's keep a bit of perspective Rotherham are not Swansea.
If we couldn't beat Rotherham we would be in danger of relegation.
I still think we will do well to get 1 draw from the next 2 matches. Winning 1 of them would be an excellent achievement.

How many league games have we kept a clean sheet with Batth in the team and how many without, and how many league games has he played?

The worry is that Batth was only playing because Chester was injured, O'Neil dropped Batth after a clean sheet at Luton....go figure !!

Anyone is better than Chester. Danny Collins I actually think he was! Don't forget he played for us in the PL too where the quality of the opposition is much better.

I don’t see anything but a defeat down there. On the plus side, I think we can get something at Reading on Saturday.

Think about it you bought him or signed him and if you don’t play him it reflects on you? It’s human nature I’m afraid?

Batth is a threat at dead ball situations,as he proved at the end of last season with some important goals, where as Chester is more of a threat in our own box,and if O'Neill brings him back in for the next two games ,then we will deserve what we get !!!

Baath does never worry me. He is positionally sound and always wins his headers. He needs to play ahead of Chester
