Has anyone caught this yet? It's not what I was expecting, the only link to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is that it's about a psychiatric nurse called Ratched. And mental hospitals in the 1940s did not resemble luxury resorts.
It felt more like an average season of American Horror Story.

It's on my list of things to watch, still working my way through Dark at the moment but Ratched is next... Looks mint👍

I've seen a few clips its a bit disturbing not sure i want to see a lambotomy and im absolutely sure my lady wouldn't watch it she's a bit of a scaredy cat.

I'm quite enjoying it, but totally agree it's nothing at all like One Flew Over. Apparently later seasons will include Randle McMurphy so I'm really interested to see if they actually have an episode or two that follow the storyline of One Flew Over.

You don't see much mate- you hear more than you see. The arm amputation scene (episode 3 I think?) is probably the goriest part.

I'd watch it mate but it would have to be on my own otherwise I'd have to watch with no sound and with my missus asking whats going on and tell me when it finishes all the way through lol 😆

Compared to Lovecraft Country it's a masterpiece though. Lovecraft just feels like 60 minute advert for BLM It's great to see an all black cast of protagonists etc but it just seems so 'on message' I cant watch it

I learnt a bit about sunset towns and black people travelling the US needing their own travel guide (pointing out black friendly businesses etc). Plus the creatures at the end made me think it was going to be quite 'Lovecrafty'. But the second episode was daft and I lost interest. It was typical Jordan Peele fare, every white character is evil or racist, but I expected that going into it.
