Just watching Brentford v Fulham on Sky and thinking how dreadful the seats in the new stadium look. Who on earth came up with that idea. It's hurting my eyes.
Was there a sale on for pick and mix on seat colours?

It looks like they've 'done a Vale' and bought some random seats from another club that don't match. I'm sure Brentford don't need to do this and there's an abstract, artistic reason for it. They remind me a bit of Klopp's mouth before he got his teeth looked at.

As the badger says above, it is so that when the stadium has a crowd in, the empty seats are different colours and the crowd looks bigger than it is.

They should paint some gurning faces on balloons and attach them to the seats so it looks like the crowd are having a 90 minute mental

drove past it not too long ago.
I'm a huge fan of griffin park, but this ground, sadly, looks like one massive pile of shite. I'm sure it's 'nice' inside, but first impressions are one of horror.

Can’t you remember when Vale fans were moaning their bag off about our new ‘community’ stadium and how it wasn’t for the community but only for Stoke City? They were saying that if it was a community stadium they should be able to play there too so it shouldn’t have had red seats. The response to that was that of course the stadium was built with them in mind because there was a white seat for everyone of their fans too! BM

I know it's just nitpicking, but I wish they'd renew the seats in the main stand down Stoke, it's the only thing stopping it from looking a real nice stadium..... Not that it matters just yet anyhow!!! 🤷🏼♂️

It has about as much soul and character as a beetroot.
Griffin Park was ace, a proper ground.

Was there a sale on for pick and mix on seat colours? we were originally having multi coloured seats based on the Louisiana Dome in St Louis as they gave the impression of bigger crowds. I saw the plans, didn't look great. Wasn't until the sponsorship deal as Britannia came in quite late on

Though even in the Championship they reckon they'll fill the stadium every week (at least until the "new Stadium factor" fades).
At least as important a reason not to do it eg in club colours with "BEES" spelled out in white seats against red, is because they're renting the stadium out to London Irish RFC, whose colours are green and white, so they opted for a neutral colour scheme. (Irish won't fill the ground that's for sure)
Still looks crap mind, but you can see the rationale.

For a new build at least it’s architecturally distinct, and doesn’t follow the largely generic stadium designs of the last 25 years.
