Can't really see how we are gonna score, keep a clean sheet get a draw/win or anything from this fixture. Clever manager who will home in on all of our frailties while making sure we have to do something special to score - unless Campbell is playing/firing then highly unlikely. I will still probably pay me tenner and spend 40 mins before kick-off trying to find a browser the bloody stream works on and at 3:20 wonder why I bothered - all part of the misery that comes from being a Stokie, roll on Birmingham

Maybe MON should start these guys against Preston: Butland, Baath, Edwards, Ince, Vokes, Gregory.

I can see MON opting for Fletcher at the expense of Vikes.
Well perhaps hopeful thinking, but I have a feeling it might happen

He sure does and to think he was hours away from becoming our manager until Risdale promised him the earth He turned down two big jobs in stoke and west brom, maybe he just shit out of it and doesn't feel up to it. I think he'll regret those decisions eventually. He has taken Preston as far as they can go

We owe these a defeat! Come on lads make a statement and MON go for it better having a go than taking an expected defeat?

Won 3-4 after being 3-1 down. Dean Crowe got the winner I think. Great away day. Was it a really sunny day?

Think it was , early season and only remember so much as it was my turn drive. 3 mates went back the pub when we were 3-1 down. Two of us stayed. Can still see it now Crowe finishing for the winner. We had a great start under little even though a bit lucky sometimes. Didn’t last long though unfortunately.

I know its early but will the result today give an indication of which bit of the table we are going to spend most of the season? With plenty of away wins happening in these fanless stadium we are going to struggle if we can't pick up some wins away from home.
That said I'm going for a 3-0 win for the mighty potters to kick start an ultimately successful promotion wining season!

Its too early to says MON is under any kind of pressure to start the younger players, however you can't ignore the fact that they have impressed in the two games they've played.
If he does overlook them again today and we don't get a positive result, the pressure will start to build a bit, even more so if the kids play well midweek again too.
Tymon, Thompson, Souttar and Collins have all put themselves in the frame. I'd be surprised if more than one of them start today though. I can't see MON dropping any of Mikel, Clucas or Powell just yet, and that is probably the right call.
I think one of Souttar or Collins starts at the back though. And Campbell definitely starts up front.
--------Davies-------
--Collins Batth Indi--
Smith -------- McClean
--Powell Mikel Clucas--
---Campbell Fletcher---

I hope we go 4-2-3-1 with something like ................Davies..................... Smith......Batth....Souttar....Fox ........Mikel...........Clucas........,, Campbell...Powell......Tymon ................Fletcher................,, Think we'll go with 3 at the back again, but I really like that line up! Lots of pace out wide with Tymon and Campbell and a good mobile striker in the middle as well, yes, I like that! I also think that formation could bring the best out of Powell. Souttar deserves a start as well I think! Will give us another dimension on set pieces with both Batth and Souttar in the box.

If we’re gona have serious intentions of promotion this season then a good performance is a must today no player off days no negative or dodgy formations just go do the job🤓

They are just so solid and we scoring is till a problem for us. Drop one of Batth or Chester and the defence is a little stronger. Going for a turgid 0-0.

If we don't win today we are looking at 1 or 2 points from the first possible 9 and another false start to a league season.
We've got to somehow pull a rabbit from a hat this afternoon, do it Stoke!

Davies Collins Batth BMI Smith Thompson Clucas Tymon McClean Fletcher Brown
I think we need a bit more energy in the midfield and a lot more from the wingbacks attacking wise. We also need a team that can withstand the rough stuff - which is why I think Thompson is a better bet than Powell for this one - he gets targeted and doesn't respond well and isn't in great form anyway.

A draw wouldn't be a disaster, but if we're serious about challenging for the top six this season then this is the sort of away game we should be going all out to win.
GOOOaaarrrn Stoke. 2-0 to the Mighty Potters.

We all know despite us speculating he will go with his tried and trusted?. I expect Baath & Chester to start and Clucas and Powell to return. All I would say is they had better step up to the plate unlike last week or the knives will be out.
