What are we going with then?
Davies Collins Souttar BMI Smith Powell Mikel Clucas McClean Fletcher Campbell
Subs: Butland Batth Tymon TOB Thompson Brown Gregory
Realistically, probably no way he'll put the 2 young CBs straight in and dump the 2 senior pros, which'd probably mean leaving one of them out of the 18 as well.
Could well see one though.
Probably no chance Morgan Fox will be dumped from the 18 either - although I just can't see him offering anything at left wing-back, which seems here to stay.
Realistically, Vokes is a favourite of his too, and he'll be in the 18.
Interesting to see what he does with McClean - wouldn't be surprised to see him start. Equally, wouldn't be surprised to see him left out of the 18 again.

Clearly he’s rested several of our most experienced players, with a view to them starting on Saturday With another midweek Cup game to come, the squad need to be managed carefully A bigger selection dilemma will need to be addressed when we do not have a midweek game I think that this will then reveal MONs plans for his strongest match day squad

Anyone else feeling really apathetic to it all since the no fans in stadium took hold? It just feels like a season of training games.
The last 6 months has highlighted more than ever how fans really do make sport what it is.

He's keeping Fletcher on the bench until after the international break is my guess, he's being very careful with his fitness.
Campbell should start

The last 6 months has highlighted more than ever how fans really do make sport what it is. It's starkly emphasised when you watch games without the fake crowd noise - the atmosphere is like watching a grass roots non-league game with a dozen other people. The games themselves have remained competitive I think, for the players it makes no difference whether fans are there or not - when did players ever really care about the fans anyway? Some of them would no doubt prefer they weren't there at all so they have an easy ride.

It'll probably be Vokes and Ty up front. In defence, I think he'll give Batth and Chester one more chance together. If they screw up, and Collins and Souttar play another blinder against Bristol/Villa, then surely one the latter will replace one of the former against Brum. So as you were: Davies Batth, Chester, BMI Mikel, Clucas Smith, Fox Powell, Vokes, Ty

Baath and Chester have had a lot of clean sheets lately, Davies has had little to do. Collins and Souttar playing great but all our CB's are currently
Looking for more from Mikel,Clucas and Powell

Thats a good point they should have the "freedom" now to play without the barrage from the crowd when they mess up, or the roar when they play well. I wonder what effect it will have when and if we return.

I am looking for a huge amount more from Clucas, Mikel and Powell. I am not sure where Mikel has got this lauded reputation from. Every time I have seen him over the years, he's done very little offensively or defensively. He seems to stroll around doing very little. I was expecting him to take the ball off the back 4 and build, but we've continued to go long.

Would be a teamof14 year olds who he has been watching since their school sports days He is the self confessed football genius on here so would make sense.

I'm just hoping beyond hope that the chosen goalkeeper doesn't have a massive brain fart, or three, to the point where their players are running around the pitch sniggering at us.
Anything beyond that is a huge bonus.

It seems like 4-2-3-1 is dead for the foreseeable future.
I predict not a lot of goals in this one.

Tickets now available on line Even @£10 per game = £230 in total for home games I would hope that all clubs will now be able to offer a “match bundle” style of card eg up until Christmas It would be good if there was the opportunity to add some more authentic crowd sound - more volume and specifically for each team If £10 a game helps clubs keep going then it’s an option while spectators are not allowed The bigger goal is managing the situation until better treatment and/ or a vaccine is available

It’s a graveyard for us, and it always has been.
A draw is the best we can hope for in this one unfortunately.

When did we last win there, any idea? I remember us beating them 2-1 on their old plastic pitch in 92/93. I think we might have won a high scoring game there in the Brian Little days aswell. Other than that it’s been a shocking ground for us.

Very tough game this weekend we have to get the team selection bang on or we could end up on the end of a bad result

Very tough game this weekend we have to get the team selection bang on or we could end up on the end of a bad result The team selection and the system we use. When you look how shit we were Sunday you can’t just fob it off as early season shit. It was three points lost forever.
