Whilst not the ideal use of the money, getting rid of these players is as good as a new signing. It’s giving us room to actually breathe What did we actually pay for him? Circa £5mil I think

This talk of using the Collins money to pay players off, surely this is no better than just letting them run down their deals?
Am I missing something? Same total, just taking it all in one hit.
Presumably some sort of FFP detail?

Did we ? not sure about that but i'm not sure so who knows. Quote from the official site when we signed him: “ STOKE CITY can confirm the Club has completed the signing of Austrian international defender Moritz Bauer. The 25-year-old right back has signed a four-and-a-half year contract after City paid Rubin Kazan a fee of £5.5million for his services to make him the Club’s first signing of the January transfer window.” Annoys me greatly that we capitalised our name entirely for some reason.

Presumably some sort of FFP detail? Presumably we pay no more than his Stoke wage less the money his nee club is paying him so it means we spend less than if we pay his full wage. And the Collins money means we can afford a two year deal so we don’t have to go through another deal next season.

Presumably some sort of FFP detail? To be fair is just guess work. No one knows what deals we have in place with players leaving. The good thing is we may actually be in a position to bring players in and have drastically reduced our wage bill no doubt

Presumably some sort of FFP detail? We'll pay them off at 70% of the total value of their remaining contract or whatever both parties negotiate so there's still a financial benefit in doing it........
