Lets do some scouting lads!
Any recommendations so far?
They have to be players who Stoke could realistically sign and do a job for.
Maybe Rudge could use some help.

De Jong (Dutch) would be useful in front of our defence. Or Van Der Vartt on the left side. But can't see any signings really.

David Villa, the boy is class.
If Coatesy was to offer him a helicopter and a key to the city surely he would leave Valencia?

The guy who scored for Sweden, not the messy goal the other one. He would fit in well.

I reckon Orlando Engelaar (Dutch midfielder) was excellent. He plays for FC Twente, who aren't a huge side and he's 6ft 5in, black and defensive - TP would definitely be interested!

He's a massive player for Inter, no chance he would be leaving and if he did, it would be for a hefty amount to someone like Chelsea. I have to admit I saw that lad and thought that TP's eyes would be out on stalks! Not your classic Dutch midfielder, is he? RoryM

This Derdiyok playing up front for Switzerland looks useful. He's 6'2, only 19 and was the guy who scored the goal against England in our recent match.
Perhaps he would be out of our price range but he's only playing in the Swiss league currently so we might be able to attract him with a move to the prem?

Olic the Croat forward, Pulis would have been impressed with his work rate up front, he never gave defenders a rest. I think someone posted he plays for Hamburg?

Does anyone seriously think that anyone performing well will even be considering us? OK, we can offer them reasonable wages, but we can't offer them Champions League Football. Hence they will go to Holland, Belgium or elsewhere

FC Twente are in The Champions League 3rd Qualifying Round If Im Mistaken..So got no hope Engelaar to join Blues by Laurent Picard, 12 June 2008 Have your say Read comments Engelaar: Big man to watch. Holland international Orlando Engelaar will leave FC Twente for Bundesliga side Schalke according to general manager Andreas Muller. The midfielder is not a famous figure outside of the Eredivisie but he made an impression during The Oranjes’ superb 3-0 win over Italy on Monday. The 28-year-old has agreed personal terms with Schalke, who finished third in the German league, and his employers Twente now have to meet the German directors to set a transfer fee. The Gelsenkirchen outfit have proposed £4 million for the athletic player, while his Dutch employers would like to earn £6 million. “I’m hopeful the transfer will be made official in the next few days, and then we’ll have finished our recruitment campaign,” Muller said.
