It's been an unbelievable effort in very difficult circumstances. I guess the reason he hasn't had quite the adulation he deserves because of just how bad we've been when we've been bad.

I'd be interested to see the table since he took over if anyone's got it. Can't wait to see what he can achieve with a bit of time and his own players if that's what he can do with the absolute mess we have at the moment.

Safe with a game to spare. It’s a literal miracle. Huge amount of work to do but let’s fucking enjoy oursens for the first time in a long time.
Such a shame that Forest is behind closed doors, what a party that would have been.

Same here (well, a bottle of beer). He has done an unbelievable job, we were gone when he came in yet, against all the odds, being so far behind with a group who gave the impression of not giving two fucks, no real backing from those up above and the whole Covid thing stopping us when we were on a roll, he did it!!!! Im absolutely fucking buzzing, its a fantastic acheivement and today showed the difference between a MON team and a NJ/Rowett/Lambert team!

He has done what we thought was the impossible. For that he deserves his pay packet and a bloody good drink! We all believed we were doomed after the debacle of the second coming. Can we dare to dream for better times ahead? I think so.
Cheers boss, having a pint for ya! 🍺

Ive just posted elsewhere that if we were on zero points when MON took over we would still have a shout at staying up. Outstanding

Congratulations to everyone including the board for finally getting the right man in, when they had to.
There's still lots to change at the club like some of the players. But finally, we seem to be going on the right track after 3 or 4 years of steep decline.
Up the potters.

Despite some poor performances at wigan, leeds etc overall we have been top 7 or 8 form since he's come in, and that with a team that was adrift at the bottom.
It's clear, if they back this manager he can get us into the promotion frame next time.

Something worth noting that I’m not sure has been picked up on. If we win against forest we beat last seasons points tally by 1 point.
Quite remarkable when you consider the start we had. Huge well done MON

Very doubtful when he was appointed but it’s a results business of fine margins and he’s done a brilliant job especially in post lockdown I think .

What's a fair and realistic expectation for next season? I think a fair to midsize clear out, a good season, but i'm not sure about promotion next season (trying hard not to be negative) .. however, the season after that, absolutely pissing the league with a solid team foundation.

Thank you Michael.
Now please have a huge clear out and build a team. This Summer break will be short so it’s imperative that the Club acts early and backs their man.

When he took over in November we were 6 points from safety. Still bottom at Christmas. Would be interesting if anyone knows the figures for how many teams have escaped relegation from similar positions

An absolutely stupendous job done by Michael O'Neill. To think when he took over, we were rock bottom on 8pts and he was given one task and one task only ... to save Stoke City from relegation. The fact that he's managed to achieve that feat with a game to go, which currently sees us on 53 points and 8 points above the drop zone, is nothing but sensational. Well done Michael O'Neill, let us hope that this is just the beginning of many future great times together. Yep massive credit to him. Like you say he's done the job put in front of him. Not only that but on resumption of season when things looked like going pear shaped he again proved the ability to quickly turn things around.

Arise Sir Michael of O’Neill.

What's a fair and realistic expectation for next season? Top half of the table I would say. But more importantly it would be nice to see an identity evolving. One that lets everyone know what we are all about so when players sign for this once great club they know what is expected of them from day 1.
