I know! Disappointing, hope he's okay. Absolutely, also good for him for recognising he needs help and focus on himself, good luck to him, a great front man with energy and charisma.

Fair play to him. A bit of a counundrum, a band I could take or leave on record but absolutely incredible live sim would go see them whenever I could . Hope he sorts issues

Up in court later on today on charges of domestic assault. linkI like Kasabian but I'm afraid I can't feel much sympathy for him there. He's been a bit of a despicable cunt. No excuse for that kind of behaviour.

I interviewed this berk once many moons ago (and his mongy mate Serge Piss-oboe) and they were a pair of absolute nobs.
Not even in a marginally amusing and sometimes charming Liam Gallagher-esque fashion. They were just thick, artless, gobby dickheads the pair of 'em.

Must admit I missed the beginning and middle of Kasabian so probably a bit late to clock in now just as the whole operation is winding up!

Fair enough Damage limitation Pretty damning. Not even a “he’s taking full responsibility for his actions. had problems that he’s getting help for, so we are taking a year off”

Kasabian have been one of my favourite bands since they formed. Seen them live 5 times and one of the best imo. Whatever he's been going through personally there is absolutely no excuse for his behaviour.

I mean I'm 0% not condoning his actions, absolutely disgraceful especially in front of a child, but surely if he's struggling, he'll need support and his band mates here seem to be (excuse the poor wording but) kicking him whilst he's down, maybe a hiatus from the band whilst rehabilitating. Kasabian aren't Kasabian without Tom.

Well done to the rest of the band on sacking him.
I was due to see Kasabian on a field somewhere the week their debut album was released. The stage blew over and they ended up playing The Stage instead. It was a cracking gig.

Saw them supporting Oasis but I was so hammered I had no idea about it until it came up in conversation the next day.

Was a good gig - just a shame that they turned into a steaming pile of James Chester after the first album.

I called it The Stage because the old name sounded better after saying the outdoor stage blew over. We bumped into Tom Meighan in the park, who informed us the gig had moved to "The Leadmill." Luckily, we didn't head up to Sheffield. I think Agent Blue supported and they were very good too. I don't like much Kasabian after the first album either. I wonder if the backing vocals made that first one, as they cut out for a song at The Sugarmill and it sounded nowhere near as good.
