Unfortunately this manager has never needed to motivate players, he's miles out of his depth he got no experience of league players needing to be motivated, but he's not to blame, i blame the idiots who pick our managers

Maybe he's not the messiah after all
Still, we can't keep changing managers. There is a far bigger problem at the club

I never thought I would say it, but these lot did need a Pulis type....they clearly needed to be put up against a wall and told what’s what. What spineless men.

He had a mountain to climb when he came in and got two thirds up it, unfortunate this break came at the wrong time, and we've been rubbish.

None of our last 3 managers has been able to motivate these players Disgrace from the players. This Common factor between O'Neill, Jones and Rowett failing - these fucking shitehouses 'playing' for us. Rowett goes elsewhere, gets them playing. Seems like Jones may be doing the same, maybe. Fuck those gutless wankers on the pitch.

The damage was done, he gave us a glimmer of hope but 3 managers have had this squad and all been let down. Its purely at the players door for me, at least compete.

What bothers me is that the previous 2 management flops are both doing OK at their new clubs with supposed much poorer squads.

Agree - the club is toxic and in terminal decline............I said when we were relegated that we would be decade out in the cold - I fear I was wrong - it will be much much longer if not permanently.........

What bothers me is that the previous 2 management flops are both doing OK at their new clubs with supposed much poorer squads. The warning signs were there when Rowett turfed up at Millwall and started getting results. Yes, you can point your fingers at both Rowett and Jones for their signings creating issues but how many issues were already in place? By the end of his time here, Jones was a walking wreck. We almost killed him. He's gone in at Luton and taken 5 points from 9, with third and fourth division players against Preston, Swansea and Leeds! Meanwhile, we are getting whacked by 3, should have been 7, at Wigan with a squad that cost 50M+? Sorry, not having this one bit. The club is poison from the top down. The owners can chuck out whatever bullshit overhaul statements they want. You can't keep on kidding people. There's only so long the pretence can continue.

We're quickly running out of winnable games too, Leeds, Brentford & Forest look like massive ZERO returns, which leaves Barnsley, Brummies and Brizzle, so potentially only a realistic 9 points to hope for ??? But could end up with 3 out of 18 !!
We're closing in on the trap door here big time.

I don’t expect a Messiah , well not any longer ! What I do hope for from a manager is some basic organisation, some of the basics of passing and movement even if it isn’t spectacular, just players functioning as a team. I had high hopes of this manager but since our return from the break but there is no organisation or plan. I am seriously worried O’Neill isn’t up to it at club level - let’s hope COVID has left him confused because I cannot explain it any other way.

The club is rotten from the top
Tony what left back situation scholes , Peter what's all the fuss about coates , john I have literally no idea what I am doing , no I am serious! Coates
The players look at them , and say Omg , money for nothing at this club , happy Days . Then watch their bank account swell , as their career goes down the pan .
Basically ,if you are Stoke fan , you can't imagine anything more boring or less inspiring .In a word ... heartbreaking

I've been telling you for years these owners know nothing about football.
To say MO'N can't motivate a team is clearly bollocks.

H The honest answer to that is to bin the entire squad and start again In reality you can’t get 20+ players out and in through one window. So the best you can hope for is incremental change and a watering down of the bad attitudes etc, unfortunately nee keep adding to the pile of Shit with no improvement.

Not going to happen, we will need to go cheap and free in League 1 with points deductions and a CEO on a wage that eclipses almost the entire squad... That's the truth here. We are going nowhere fast. We can't spend money, we can't rid of the massive massive wages, we can't sell, we can't buy, and O'Niell will be too expensive therefore we will probably have to agree a resignation (and isn't the NI job still his technically?). Anyways, who oversees this association? This business? Oh yeah

Imagine that the CEO is earning more this year overseeing the failure of relegation to league one, ask 6-800k whatever it is, and that's more than most league 1 clubs yearly budget? Think about all our Jokers on 3-4 year deals, on 20-40k. We can't simply loan out everyone. Relegation IS disaster, be for the foreseeable future also. I don't see how fines would fix it, we will almost certainly have a points deduction of not numerous for our expenditure

It’s fairly evident to me that not even Klopp could get our tune out of this bunch. It’s not the managers we are appointing they are all capable and since leaving us have performed well. The total lack of commitment from the players has to be firmly at the door of Scholes imo. He just has to go,he is stealing a living at our club. His performance in the transfer market has just been a disaster signing players that are just not good enough.l live in Birmingham and my friends laugh at me about our signings from Clubs around here in particular WBA and Villa. My mate told me James Chester wasn’t good enough and the joke is if you want to get rid of your shit just ring up Stoke.

Teams in league 1 or 2 in my knowledge have only been docked points due to administration.
