I would go all out for the win and use 3-1-4-2
Butland
Collins ....Ba’ath ... BMI Cousins
Ince Sorrenson Clucas Maclean
Campbell Vokes
Ince deserves another start as he was arguably our best player yesterday. Maclean gives energy and we definitely need 2 up top to try and give Wigan players to mark. Hopefully our woeful defenders will pass the ball forwards immediately rather than tippy tap between themselves while the opponents mark all our players. It would also help if our forwards and midfielders made runs into space do the defensive guys had people to aim for.

We must win, that means scoring more goals than the opposition.
Forget creative MF we don't have any creative players. Forget possession football we don't have players who can pass. (The number of loose passes yesterday was criminal.) We need some leadership and example on the field: Shawcross in for leadership, retain McClean (on left) for effort. We need players in their best positions (as against Barnsley).
We need to go route 1 and play Vokes and Campbell up front like we did against Huddersfield.
We cannot afford Ince in the team; he sucks the life out our play, has very few assists because he is not on the same wave length as Vokes and Campbell, and rarely scores. I'd rather give one of the youngsters a run out on the right than pick Ince. In fact I wouldn't baulk at playing Edward's right side (with Smith RB) rather than Ince. At least he would have a go at the opposition.
4 - 4 - 1 - 1 for me.
Butland Smith Batth Shawcross, Indi ? ? Clucus McClean Campbell Vokes

Jack Smith Collins Ba’ath Tymon Cousins Oakley Clucas Campbell. McLean Vokes. Attack with 4 (5 including a full back ) ....McLean and Campbell must get in and around Vokes not stay out wide unless they the one crossing

Realistically got this game and the two versus Birmingham and Barnsley to get the 7 points needed to survive I can't see us getting anything against bristol,Leeds, Brentford and Forest. It's still in our hands but only just times beginning to run out.

If Ryan is fit he has to play alongside Baath. Its our best centre back pairing.
Butland
Smith Ryan Baath Fuck knows
Cousins (at least he gets stuck in)
Jimmy Mac Ince
Sorenson
Vokes Campbell
Clucas needs a kick up the ass along with a few others but the lack of quality is scary. If needs must put him at left back, cos Indi just doesn't want to know. We have no playmaker to make things happen, it is a complete misfit of a squad (thanks Nathan for those 12* bargain basement signings)
* may be a slight exageration

Butland Smith Batth Collins Ward Oakley Boothe Clucas McClean Ince Vokes Campbell 4-3-1-2 Not sure about Ince, but any team without BMI in it looks good to me Well we’ve constantly failed by trying to play wide men. Problem being that wide men need to make themselves available for a pass, be able to take a man on and cross a ball. None of which any of our players are capable of. Therefore my solution would be to be compact and play on the counter. A narrow combative midfield 3 and Ince floating about (as he likes to do) between the lines and Campbell feeding off Vokes. Campbell would certainly benefit having somebody alongside him. Ince can’t be any worse there than he has been on the right can he?🤷🏻♂️ As for BMI, there are no words. I’d rather have an ageing player in Ward who at least knows the position, just a steady Eddy if you like. We shall see but I think there will be wholesale changes against Wigan.

I just saw the highlights of the two previous games and it was frightening.
Most players were terrible.

Davies Edwards-Collins-Macari-Wara Dunwoody Pemberton-McClean Doucoure Kyeremateng-Diouf Subs: Noukeu, Chester, Oakley-Boothe, Verlinden, Sörensen, Campbell, Godfrinne Some drastic actions must be done. Therefore eight new faces, where six of them start. How many of these names have you actually seen in the flesh, Musik?

BMI has been awful, we need a physical presence upfront, McClean must be on the left and we still need Campbell in the team.

Do you enjoy losing matches? Because that line up is how you lose matches. No midfield. Are you smoking the good stuff?
