Has anyone else done one recently? I have booked for an online class, so don't really know what to expect.

You'll have to supply your own coffee and biscuits. Did mine at Fail park, the breaks were the highlights, that and lorry drivers who were convinced they were gods gift to the roads and were all innocent.

I was more thinking do I have to do a test or something at the end or is it a death by power point with a hint of retired copper flexing his superiority and then waved on you way.

Mine was a retired driving instructor and his glamorous assistant, lots of slides to look at, a bit of audience interaction (hands up if you know what's wrong here type of stuff) more slides and some Q and A's. Then home.

I did mine at Vale Park.
Thought it would be a room full of boy racers but in fact it was more akin to a pensioners club.
It lasted about twice as long as you might ideally like.
I may just take the 3 points for a home win next time!

One thing I did discover was that you can't go over 50mph in a 3.5t van on an A road and the cruise control in the one I was driving was faulty. Hey ho.

I did mine about 8 years ago in Winsford and was lucky to sit next to an extremely attractive lady who certainly brightened up the few hours listening to the two presenters.
About 15 minutes before the course started one of the presenters came outside to where most of the attendees were already gathered and reminded us that the course started at 9.00am and if anyone was late they would not be allowed into the room. One of those attending was obviously nervous and decided to go for a smoke. He arrived outside the room just as the presenter was closing the door and he was refused entry. The presenter opened the door and told him that he would have to re-apply for another course at a cost of round about £80 (I think that was the fee at the time) or face getting the points on his licence.

I did one at "The Wembley of the North". It was during November and the tight fuckers didn't put the heating on!

I did one at Longton Library. Bored shitless for four hours. Came out drove back to Trentham and got a speeding fine on Longton Road. So overall a pretty pointless exercise

Done twice at same venue in Telford and all I'll say is they are sticklers for timings. Don't be late or late back from breaks. And suspect remotely you'll struggle to get away from webcam without being monitored. Worth it to avoid the points I guess

The equation to challenge the idea that speeding will help me regain time as I was late convinced me as to the folly of speeding and slowed me down
Of course driving a car that does 26mpg helps too!

Did my course at the Fleet Air Arm museum at Yeovilton. Spent four hours looking at pictures and videos of Trent Vale for my ‘re-education’.

I won’t get a course as I did one 14 months ago.
What’s the likely fine for 67 through a 40 variable on a “smart motorway”
