He gets a lot of stick on here but I've got say; Thanks Tony for phoning to check my wife, who's just turned 70, is OK. Apparently he's phoning everyone on the database 70 or over. There was no sales pitch, no checking we're renewing our season tickets, we are, just genuine concern Maureen's fit & well. It maybe only a small gesture but one we are both chuffed about.

Yeah I think all of the senior staff at the club are doing it, seen people say they've had calls from MON and Rory.
Cracking idea from the club.

Wow, absolutely brilliant. I know we've given them loads of stick over the years, and much of it deserved, but this is fantastic to hear. Up the fucking Potters.

There’s something special about our club despite some mistakes over recent years they never dissapoint where good and decent morals are concerned. I’m no fan of Scholes but this is top work.

Chief Execs never get the praise when things on the up but always responsible when it goes bad. We made mistakes like all clubs do, look at Man U when they sold Beckham, signed some absolute trash but had enough in reserve. We didn't as a far smaller club.

Tis a great club like that. I remember leaving my new coat at the stadium in the 80's. As I live 90 miles away there was no way I was driving back for it so I gave it up as a bad job. On the Monday morning I decided to write to the club telling them where I was sat and describing the coat on the off chance somebody may have handed it in, asking them to let me know if they had found it so that I could pick it up at the next home match. The coat was sent back to my home address within a few days, packaging paid a letter thanking me for my support and a free ticket for the next home game.

I wrote to Jez Moxey applying for the manager's job as a bit of a laugh i said experience- Was good at Sensible Soccer and had seen Gregory's Girl several times. Also I couldn't work Saturday as went to the football. He sent me back a great letter saying I was pipped to the job after careful thought. I saw him a few months later and spoke about the letter- he said he wished he'd appointed me now
